amazing performance for 8gb and for the power draw too! I'm impressed! might be an upgrade for my aged noisy and hungry 5700xt
The question i have, is the 16GB worth the $150 price difference

Yep, in a good 95% of cases.
You'd only not need he extra vram if you were playing indie/old games etc, but on which case you don't really need a 9060xt.
I'm not sure what the use case for 8gb on a card this powerful is, but I'm sure there is one. If you ran high resolution but deliberately turned down texture qualities?
If you were on a really tight budget, I feel like you'd be better off with a ~$350 card we had posted a while back.
@incipient: I've got a 9070XT in my main PC - been an Nvidia user for the past 15 years and i am so surprised how stable AMD drivers and the quality of Adrenaline that i am now considering replacing the 4060 i have in my second PC. Will go the 16GB version.
I've got an emulation machine running Batocera with a 3GB GTX 1060, I think it's time to upgrade.
Any 5070ti deals.
