This is by far the cheapest price it's ever been. Great mic for the price.

Yes you can but you will need a receiver.
The S1 Pro already has a built in receiver but it’s proprietary. The mic transmitter sold by Bose is this one:

It would enable something like a Shure SM58 but unfortunately the Bose wireless XLR receiver is $250 and a good mic like the SM58 is another $200.
I bet someone could suggest an ok $50 XLR mic that could be paired with the Bose mic transmitter.
The transmitter has gone down to $19x on sale. The normal price is about $220.
Mic choice really depends on the application and budget. For just basic speaking purposes Behringer's XM1800S is $79 for a set of 3 and has an easily-accessible switch to quickly mute the mic when not speaking. User comments on the XM1800S here.
I own one for interview scenarios with a camera crew. While it would probably do the job for you, it's not a particularly appropriate device for that purpose. It requires a Rode receiver (purchased separately) and those units are mostly designed for battery powered camera and phone use.
This mic is useful for on-the-go camera/phone interviews, Vox pops, and that sort of thing. Not terribly robust if it's for a musical application, I wouldn't like to drop it. If you want a wireless mic for PA or musician purposes with your Bose speaker there are much better and more durable options. for example in this price range:
