Before you even consider buying a laser, make sure you have all the safety precautions in place.

Fwiw the 120w as far as i can see is the power supply. Nothing about the laser power.

Am I missing something - this is listed for $839 on their website, as well as PBTech

    • I think it's the 'combo'? Whatever that includes?

  • What do people need to use a laser to engrave on regularly, and having to purchase one for themselves? I think unless you already have plan to engrave hundreds of items, it is silly to invest in one.

    • How many things do we actually "need" from ozbargain? How many impulse buys have you done? I built my own CNC/laser engraver. Not because making lots of keyrings or whatever. Just because it's a fun project. I use it on occasion. Make wooden 3d puzzles. Acrylic things such as photos, cars. (Mostly black as clear is a different ballgame using laser). Layered colored fabric and photo engraved. Looked pretty cool when layers exposed using different % power. CNC I used when I built my arcade for example the button inserts. Chessboard.

      • That's why I asked the question. The mentality of OzB to buy now, think later. Impulse buy and not using it much later, let them sitting on the shelf gathering dust is just stupid.

        • Agree, but how tempting is it when a post saying 90% off. Almost gotta have it. Even though you don't "need" it. I build most things. Have a 3d printer too. Nothing flash. But decided to build one from scratch. Built it. Printed once and disassembled it. Ticked of the list. Currently into esp32 and smarthome. Don't go down that rabbit hole lol. Ozbargain fills the void..

          • @Mikael: But is this deal 90% off? If this laser cutter is reduced down to $100, yeah sure I would buy one too, but it is not.

            • @edfoo: Thought we were talking about ozbargain mentality. Why would you buy one if cheaper? Do you have plan to engraved 100 of things?
              That's what I meant.
Doesn't matter the price. It's irrelevant and based on every person on here what example $100 is worth for them if they got millions in bank or thousand.
Some buy this as same as someone else buying a sous vide as I did last night like. I didn't plan to get one. But hey. Gonna cook with it today.
Buying things on here because it's fun to get a good deal. And probably find use eventually for the things we buy.
