Whats the battery life going to be like ?

  • +2

Easy RAM / SSD / battery upgrade on these!

  • SATA or NVME?

    • +3

      NVME PCIe 3.0 ×4

Mandatory disclaimer Grade A= B and B = Hardwaste with this seller.

    • +5

I purchased a B grade 5420 latitude, and it arrived with a slight scuff on the lid, a 90+% battery and more than a year left on the original Dell service tag.

I've purchased half a dozen items, and always been satisfied with whats delivered.

Either you've been extremely lucky or my lucks always been trash.

But it could also be that my grading expectations are slightly higher after buying from other refurbishing sellers.

        • Did you return any using ebayplus ?

      • -1

Yeah ive bought a few things from these guys, never had any problems. Not bought a laptop tho so ymmv.

        • You are missing out, buy a laptop so we could share some love with you too

    • +1

For the record, I've purchased a grade b latitude from these guys recently, and it was in fantastic condition

Can confirm. First unit was DOA but immaculate not a single scratch or mark. Second unit (took a week for a replacement) arrived working but was pretty well used with deep scratches etc and not something I'd call Grade A.

    • +2

nope, bought B-grade stuff plenty of times from ACT and has been fine. often significant exterior scratches/marks but nothing that affects functionality.

    Is it USB c changing?
    Touch screen?

    Any 14" model please?

    • 33.8cm display is browsing tablet size, not for productivity ~40cm+ (carry once, use many times more productively (best with 4K displays ;)

      • I find 14-14.5" 16:10 to be the sweet spot between too big to be properly portable, and big enough to have good screen real estate.

  • @calmago Checking this against the criteria I made here (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/924478) to find the HP Probook X360 435 G7………it's a strong option and scores well on a price/performance ratio

I've already bought the other one and am happy with it. But I think this one is also really strong for anyone who missed out on the deal i post this morning or is willing to pay the extra $62ish for the better build, upgraded CPU and storage (losing the 2in1/touchscreen)

      • That's good too

I didn't see that when searching the Australian Computer Trader's site last night else I might have bought it instead

(note this is a ryzen 3 not a ryzen 5 in the model i posted so a little bit worse CPU)

I had one of these for work previously and didn’t think much of it. Heavy and the runtime on battery was poor. Personally I would avoid this generation and go with the equivalent Latitude or Thinkpad.

  • +1

Vomit worthy 45% NTSC and 250nits.

I had the same screen on my Elitebook 830 G3 and would certainly not recommend. It's garbage. Pity because it's not a bad laptop, but the screen is abysmal and belongs on a bottom of the barrel budget model. Bad viewing angles, very washed out and barely able to see it except in very low light environments.

    • Think the viewing angles are deliberate, it's the HP safeview feature so people can't peep you chatting to your AI girlfriend

      • Most models now you can switch on and off secureview

  • No idea re seller etc but we use these at work and they’re actually pretty good!

    Another flog from ACT 👎

  • I'm in the market for a new laptop, but my current/previous has an OLED screen, and I'm wary of choosing anything less than that just for the likely disappointment factor
