To avoid the burnt milk problem in the aeroccino, make sure to rinse it after each froth and when not in use, leave some water in it. I have a aeroccino that is about 10 years old and still going. Had to open it up twice and turn a part upside down to get it going again. Extremely reliable.
We do the rinse every time. It’s not as bad as the original models used to be but I’m fairly sure cleaning with an abrasive pad doesn’t help. 10 years though. You deserve a badge of honour!
Heh, it's a trooper. I also have a spare in the cupboard from an Essenzo after my Nespresso U snapped internally after about 7 years. I don't use a scourer, just a silicon washer. Essenzo started just after 2 years (conveniently as the warranty is only 2 years), but managed to get it replaced when I mentioned ACL when I called Nespresso. I don't expect it to last long as well, seems the bit that punctures and pours the pod aren't made very well these days. Probably get a cheapo espresso machine next like a DeLonghi.

Sadly I got via Harvey Norman… they're doing the exact opposite and not even honoring the discounted full price and saying all orders are getting cancelled… the customer rep literally sent me an extract from the T&Cs highlighted:

FYI to those who had orders cancelled, I've just moaned on chat to Amazon, they've said I can reorder at inflated price and will refund price difference upon receipt of machine (2-5 weeks). Got the offer in writing via email just in case but I think chat transcripts are accessible anyway
I've had them say this before about another item, then when I've ordered it and gone back to refund the price difference they've refused and said it's not their policy despite multiple chat transcripts and emails saying they would. YMMV.
