Mattel's new Brick Shop Hot Wheels toys only recently came out and are heavily discounted at Target.

These are lego-like pieces, however have more custom/specific pieces for these sets. There are some metal bits included, and all of them come with the regular 1:64 Hot Wheels car included. The one in the Mercedes-Benz is a fancier one with rubber wheels etc (like a premium Hot Wheels 1:64 car).

From what I've seen in reviews, they are decent builds, but not quite the "quality" of Lego. One comment I read suggested 3/4 of the quality for 3/4 of the cost, although that was at the RRP, so 40% off is pretty good option!

    They look pretty good for what they are… definitely a lot closer to the actual cars compared to the Lego ones.

      It’s an amazing set. And one that I reckon will appreciate with time, especially being one of the early releases.

      The car it comes with is a fairly premium model too, with opening doors. Which Hot Wheels don’t really do.

      Yes the pieces work together - has a note on the listing that it is "Compatible With Other Brands" which is an allusion to Lego without saying Lego!

    Never knew this product line existed until now. The sets actually look fantastic. Far better than those over complicated $200 Lego car sets that don't even look that good once fully assembled.

      Was playing NFS SE just the other day on my midlife crisis 86Box build, though I thought of the NSX as one of the more boring cars in the game when I was young. Now it's probably the one I'd choose if I had my pick of them in real life.

        I got my order split into three seperate Australia Post deliveries. Two have been delivered yesterday separately in bigger boxes then they came in. Boxes are mint.

      So CouriersPlease left in a safe place this morning in another big box but this is because it was the biggest Mattel set Mercedes. Box is in brand new condition and not crushed up for once. I'm actually surprised. But it was delivered technically a day later then they said it was supposed to be. I guess you can never tell. But they seem just as bad as Fastway/Aramex are.
