Seems like a great price for the specs,i'd say this phone is suited to someone who's after bang for buck and needs 4G,the details..

    i got a call today from my local Dick Smith store claiming they can't fulfil my 3 x HTC Velocity 4G which were on backorder. I was asked to go get a refund of my 10% deposit!

    I went online and ordered 3 of them from there instead!

    Bad thing is, I was getting the 3 phones at $204 each with an extra year warranty so now the deal online is not as sweet!

      ok, so i rang them up over the phone, and they matched the price i was suppose to be getting!!
      now i end up getting the phone for only $200 each with an extra year warranty!

      free delivery also!

    I'm having a weird problem with my phone:
    Just got it this morning, and i was worried as many said that HTC Velocity's battery is pretty bad; however, in my case, i unplugged the charger from 2:22pm and at 5:00pm the battery was still 100%?
    I opened 5 emails, sent 4 messages and downloaded 4 games so far, but the battery was still seating at 100%?

    What is wrong with it? i just downloaded 2 games( roughly 200mb) and the battery now is 96%?
    Should i be worried or not?

    Please advice me, thanks

      that's normal I suppose if you dont turn on WiFi all the time.

        yes, i did!!! I have turned my wifi and downloaded at least 300mb (games and app).
        But now the battery is around 66%, so yes, i think it is normal ^^. Thank you.

          battery hasnt calibrated yet.

          good practice with lithium ion batteries to always do the drain + full charge cycle 3-5 times

    Was told by Kmart (Innaloo WA) that HTC Velocity 4G are Telstra only and have SIM card…NO RETURNS (except through Telstra for repairs) !!!

    ANYWAYS:
    I went with HTC one S (S3 not S4 CPU :( ) $379 (scanned as $599) @ TeleChoice Barrack St Perth WA…
    + $99 for 2 year Total Care Express Repair Gold+ warranty
    (Full repair/replacement within 2 years, 3 free screen replacements)
