NAB Credit Cards - New 24 Months Exclusion for Churning

Just seen on NAB credit cards now need 24 months between cards to get bonus Qantas or reward points when applying for a new card.

Is it only Commonwealth Bank that is now 18 months between bonus points?

Only gonna get worse as banks trying to weed out churners.

    • Usually churners are the worst customers for the banks - they have money and can repay their outstanding balance. No delayed payments, no 20% fees for banks.

    • Will eventually get to the point where no one will be signing up on their credit cards, so there should hopefully still be sign up bonuses for the foreseeable future

If only banks rewarded loyalty more than new customers. If only. But no, let’s blame customers for responding to incentives that banks themselves provide.

Edit: I’m agreeing with you but just pointing out the irony.

Better cancel it as soon as I get my points then 😂

  • At least the low rate cards are unaffected for now.

    • And they also keep Qantas and Rewards separate. With StG or Westpac, their 24-months exclusion applied on all types of CC.

  • How do bank track it, as far as i know most of these banks are on legacy system. It hard to link old cards to a new application
