Drop noticed on CCC. Average price A$200. Looks like a good bagpack, not sure how it compares to the popular tomtoc ones

Those are called fakes… same with the gold Rolexes
They're real. I'm not talking about street vendor bags. I'm talking actual official TUMI stores. Vietnam is a big producer of the brand.
They are over rated. Got given one as gift one year, used it a handful of times and gave it away.
Quality gear usually (not sure about this "Country of origin Vietnam" though…), and really good price for that model backpack.
I've had a Victorinox sling bag for 10 years and still looks good and going strong. No complaints whatsoever. Good duffles too.Got both a Victorinox and a Samsonite. Both are good, but I order the Victorinox with some rather thoughtful compartments.
Good price.
What makes a compartment in a bag thoughtful?
Mine is not the exact same model. Thought, most Victorinox backpack looked at in the store are very practical.
Two separate pocket, a clip for hanging your keys (it is like looking for them in a black hole when the bag filled), a zippable compartment. All found in the from zippable compartment. Some other brands might have these "features" cramped in, but often in a rather useless dimension.
Other useful features like a decent size and drink bottle holder on each side that are reasonablyd deep and made of very good quality mesh.
Overall, it more like a stylish and comfortable travel backpack - ones can you actually travel with, and know that it will last (countless times that I have dangled the back by its zipper after zipping it up whilst full).
https://www.amazon.com.au/Victorinox-Sport-16-Inch-Laptop-Da… got it for sub $200 some time ago.
Nothing flashy, just something that is very practical and it works. Bit like Toyota for cars (or Lexus if you insist).

Reminds me when I took a trip to Vietnam Ho Chi Minh and they had so many backpacks and one could find Tumi almost every corner
