If the base of the product is immersed in water, it may self-activate without pressing the ON/OFF button.

Risk of serious injury, including laceration from the exposed blades, if the product self-activates. Injuries have occurred.

    I can see why they recalled it, but I wonder who the genius was who decided to immerse an electric blender in water (particularly while their hands were near the blades).

    • There is always people who will give it a try wondering what would happen. It is like they'll put a hair drier into the bath to see if it is true in the movies you'll get electrocuted. We have a FAFO culture these days.

    Reminds me of the Colgate electric toothbrushes (still) sold at NQR. The buttons on them are not sealed and so water inevitably gets inside the electronics, which causes random zombie self-activations in the middle of the night, often resulting with it vibrating itself into falling off the bathroom vanity. Tossed it a few days later as it's un-fixable.
