AppleTV+ is apple's streaming service (can be confusing because Apple TV is now a app and the store where you can rent/buy).

if you are on Prime and haven't used the 1 week free trial of Apple TV+ yet, you can sign up and watch it for free (and to answer the question, yes you can sign up to AppleTV+ through Prime on the last day of your month of Prime, the subs all run separate and it will still last a week - just remember to cancel it if you don't want renewall). if you do might as well try watch Fountain of Youth and Echo Valley as well, and The Gorge if you haven't seen it.
also the 1 week free trials through Prime are recurring, you get another week free again after a year ime (I've done with this almost all the free trials, MGM, Shudder, Lionsgate, AMC+ etc).

in my opinion from the trailer the movie doesn't seem to be a comedy, but a bit tongue in cheek humour drama.

    This was honestly one of the worst movies I’ve seen in a long time. Its RT score is unfathomably high for some reason.

      ok I have seen the director name Spike lee in credits before so I thought it would be decent. hold on looking up imdb for the movie I watched they also directed..

      they directed Inside Man (2006) which was pretty good imo. it was a serious movie though. not a tongue in cheek type drama like Highest 2 Lowest seems to be.

      also noticed they directed "Da 5 Bloods" which i haven't seen but the trailer made it seem like tongue in cheek. maybe their recent movies go a different direction for laughs.

      it was a bit disappointing tbh. but movies are subjective so ymmv. best I can say is it keeps your attention. I just like horror movies and wish it went way further creatively.

    Its definitely not a comedy. I wouldn't even call it tongue in cheek. It felt a bit more serious to me when I saw it.

    I thought it was decent, but not great.
