The annual limited-edition release from Glen Scotia to celebrate the Campbeltown Malts Festival.
A bold, heavily peated expression matured in first-fill bourbon casks and finished for 5 months in Ribera Del Duero Red Wine Casks - it's classic Glen Scotia, coastal and smoky, but with a fruity twist of red fruits and tropical notes.

Only 60 bottles available at this crazy price, this is a annual limited release, once it's gone, it's gone !

how does this compare to the lagavulin 16?

I think this is a more challenging whisky. It was made for connoisseurs coming to a whisky festival. If you're just after a great single malt whisky, I'd go the Lagavulin. If you're wanting a whole bottle of adventure in heavily peated land, then this.

        well said !

  • Any other really good deals so I can get free shipping? I'm apprehensive about getting two bottles of something I've not tried before.
Perhaps a deal on the Victoriana? ;)

  • sorry, we do not have other deals running for the moment

  • The peat! Ahh , the peat.

  • Guessing this is a different Campbelltown…

It's the original, not the clone.

Warning if you don't like heavily peated scotch with a big cask influence then this is not for you. I bought this a few weeks ago when Skull & Barrel were having their Fathers Day sale and while I don't regret it it's absolutely not a beginner friendly whisky. If you have no issues with peated scotch like Ardbeg wee beastie, and have enjoyed something like Ledaig Sinclair series Bordeaux cask 9yr then you'll be fine with this. For $100 it's a good buy for any peathead.
