Cashrewards - No Response - How to Make Them Respond to Me?

The cashback I received was only 5%, but it was advertised as 10%. The value of the goods was around $1K.

I reported the shortpay issue three weeks ago and also followed up via email to support@ last week, but haven't received a response - just been completely ignored.

Is there any other way I can get their attention?

I just want to check you ARE aware they are pulling the plug soon?

I wouldn’t be surprised if they haven’t already canned most of the CS team.

    get their attention

Jump boy, jump! Roll over! Hi5!

    Good human!

They're closing up shop mate. They'll either takes ages to reply to you or not at all - both are lose lose.

I'd focus on chasing out instead because that's what they are prioritising at the moment.

  • You're unlikely to receive payment even if they do credit it to your account. Not much you can do at this point unfortunately. I was lucky I'd withdrawn my balance just before they announced their closure so I'm only losing the ~$5 that was waiting approval that they claim to have paid but hasn't been received.

Relax, your $5 will turn up eventually.

      • Given the status shows paid 2 weeks ago I doubt it.

        • The pending approval claims weren't made payable until the 11th so not sure how you requested the withdrawal 2 weeks ago?

          • @djkelly69: OK so a week and a half which is still longer than it's ever taken and it's not showing pending it's showing paid, as in has been actioned so where is it?

            • @apsilon: So the same day as half the country also requested a withdrawal, which they mostly all seem to be waiting on.

And from a company which is closing down, so no doubt being run on a skeleton staff.

              • @djkelly69: You're not getting it, it's not pending, they've paid it. They've sent the funds. I'm not waiting for them to do it, they've already done it. Or so they're claiming as it certainly hasn't been received and I'm not expecting to. They know noone can do anything about it so they're obviously not actually paying out.

                • @apsilon: Yes I understand, mine from the same date also says it is paid and I haven't received it.

Given the circumstances I can understand if it takes a bit longer to be received.

                  • @djkelly69: How? They've sent the money, How can it take longer? Once they send the funds all it takes is the time for paypal to receive and process which would be seconds at most. You really think it's more more plausible that it's taking days for the data to leave their network and be received by paypal rather than the fact they're just lying about it?

@apsilon: I don't think their Paid means 'we have completed an EFT to your account'. It means something more like 'we have approved it and sent it to Debbie in accounts to send the payment but she has 500k of these on her desk and is the only person left in the office'.

I am sure you $5 will turn up.

@djkelly69: No, paid means exactly that, they've sent the funds. It's not the first withdrawl I've done from them but it's the only one that hasn't been in my paypal account by the time the status changed to paid.

@apsilon: Yep, no reason this time would be any different… 🤔

Anyway my funds withdrawn on the 11th arrived this morning, good luck with your $5.

@djkelly69: I did a multi thousand withdrawal a few weeks before the closure announcement and it took about 2 weeks to get into my account even though it said "paid" in my app. It was so long, I reached out to CS who said that's usual just wait and it came in the next couple of days.

        • I did my withdrawal about 2 weeks ago and got the money last night.

How to Make Them Respond to Me?

Did you tell them who you are!? I mean REALLY tell them!?

The cashback I received was only 5%, but it was advertised as 10%. The value of the goods was around $1K.

That %50 is gone…. Move on.

    They are closing ….

You think losing 5% on a $1k purchase is bad, just wait until you realise you are quickly approaching the date to withdraw your current balance (24-Oct) or lose it ;)

Leave a negative review so others don't use them in the future

Who cashrewards? I guarantee no one will be using them after Oct.

  • Interestingly, I withdrew about $170 two weeks ago, and they deposited only $80 in my account. weird.

  • I received my total cashback this afternoon, including a booking.com cashback that I haven’t stayed at yet.

I put my withdrawal request in last Thursday when it was confirmed.

  • My rewards were approved on the 11th (all up A$200 ), requested a withdrawal on the 12th, money arrived in full yesterday.

  • Got our CR payments yesterday.

  • I requested $15 almost 2 weeks ago and still haven’t received it. Yet my husband had a random 4 cents left and that was paid out yesterday.
