doesn't work with 30 day plans which is what i need.
7 days is fine for me
Going on holidays for a month so not fine for me lol 7 days wouldn’t even last me lol
Cant you buy 4 and activate once each is expired?
Thanks travelling in December
Is December within 30 days?
Can I activate my plan later?
All plans have a 30-day activation period. If you get a plan today and don't activate it until October 23, it will be activated automatically.
Perfect timing, thanks OP
Not available for Fiji fyi
Curious what you're going to do for data there? Considering buying an eSim online for the convenience, but looks like the plans may be way more GB and cheaper if bought in Fiji?
Primary plan is to put the phone away and enjoy the holiday, but if I could get a free 1gb eSIM why not.
Agreed that local sims are better value.
Good point! We're planning to do some hikes and exploring, so predominantly looking for data to be able to order a cab back to the resort at the end 😅
@Benjamin7711: The most economical plan listed on eSIMdb.com is 10GB for just over $30 (Australian dollars), with up to a year to use. As well as working in Fiji, the plan works in many other countries and also works here in Australia if you want to test before you depart, or use up the remaining data after you return.
Look on this page and search for "Global One Year eSIM 10 GB - 365 Days".
If you want more than 10GB, you can add more data to the plan. Or buy the 30GB plan which is a little cheaper per GB.
The only problem is that websites will think you're in Poland, so tell your bank(s) you're visiting Poland and Fiji. Otherwise your bank may block you, thinking you're a hacker from Europe!
@Benjamin7711: @Coxy777 @Benjamin7711 If you're going to go to the fresh foods markets in Nadi at the beginning of your stay, there is a Vodafone kiosk on Queens road there. You can get a physical SIM with data there as cheap as chips. See https://prepaid-data-sim-card.fandom.com/wiki/Fiji.
Also while you're there, draw money from the Bank of Baroda ATM for cash with no ATM fees.
Better value than free. So how much do they pay you to take a Sim off their hands?
Perfect!!! Off to NZ next week :-D Thanks OP!!
Is this only for americans or can we use it?
Do we need to buy an existing plan?
Can it be used in January?
T&Cs say the promo runs until 31 July 2026, so in theory you should be able to apply to code to your account some time in December and have it work in Jan.
Of course it may be Oz/US-bargained or withdrawn before then.
Rfm The Promotion starts on 1 August 2025 at 10:00 AM Central European Time (“CET”) and ends on 31 July 2026 at 10:00 AM CET (“Promotion Period”). The timekeeping device used by Saily is the official clock of the Promotion
Am I right to say this is 1GB for 7 days?
Or is it 1GB per day for 7 days?
Yes, 1GB for 7 days
Do these plans allow phone calls to be made?
No, data only plans.
Calls: Not available, only through apps (VoIP).
Dumb question, what does “Some eSims aren't eligible” here mean? Isn’t Saily the eSIM provider here and so all Saily’s eSIM are eligible for this deal?
No, only certain eSIMs will let you apply the code. The Global and Cambodia ones for example, do not allow the code to be applied.
Zambia was a no, Tanzania was a yes.
Ok great thanks!
Ok great thanks!
I just need a sim to port my number in/out for switching to a new 12mo Boost deal. Will this work?
No. It has no number
thank you,,, just got one
Has anyone successfully activated it?
Since the offer terms do say it is only for north America customers, and they will know since esim usually requires an ID verification.
Got to download app. to get free 1gb
No. You can order it on the website but you need to download the app to use the eSim.
no but also yes
What is the originating mobile network for this? There has been some discussion in the security community about how these free travel SIM offers are a way for China to capture sensitive data on their mobile networks.
Ie if a traveller takes a free travel SIM for use in Fiji or Japan but the underlying mobile network is China Mobile, the traffic trombones back into China Mobile’s network and is captured there for analysis later.
Putting some thoughts in you, China spies are everywhere in the world, you better hide very well if you are not a fan of Temu / Tiktok / Kmart.
The mobile network for Saily is an MVNO called 1GLOBAL which is based in The Netherlands. I'm dubious of these travel SIM services as well, but I don't think 1GLOBAL would be siphoning your data into China. Network details: https://www.1global.com
FYI. These travel SIMs achieve a low cost to deliver a mobile data service by using a combination of cheap MVNO-roaming, interconnects, transit and IX peering. In practice, this means your data connection might be rerouted through a third country, such as The Netherlands, United States, or the networks nearest Point of Presence/POP causing it to “hairpin" your data.
The eSims from trip.com is always much cheaper than Sailey… also in Trip.com you can pick the carrier (i.e. Japan pick from docomo / ratuken / softbank) etc…. sailey is for lazy people who pay more.
Are they much cheaper than free?
If you can keep getting them for free, then they will be the cheapest !
I've done my last two overseas trips entirely on free trials, not all with Saily though.
Do we need to provide id ?
No
Ahhhh just bought 3 eSIM for upcoming trip
1GB for Australia! Will do for the kid's ipad on domestic holiday :-)
Thank you! Right on time! Exactly what i needed
Is there a way to import this esim without using their app? My phone doesn't support esim but I can use the esim card, just need to scan the QR code.
So your phone does support esim then?
If it doesn't, you can't use this. Not due to the app, but because this…. ummmm…. is an esim.
Yes it can be done but I have a feeling the device you're using the app on needs to support eSIM, even to display the QR Code
It looks like this (on Android):
And as part of this deal, I did not receive a QR code sent to my email so that option isn't there
Thanks OP.. just grabbed one.
Just used this in Dubai, seamless experience. Thanks
I got free 1GB before. Now cannot claim this code: The coupon code you used is valid for the first-time purchase only.
the code should also work for existing customers.
Yea I think this part of the description is inaccurate
I had to use it on a new email account to work too
Thanks OP l will give it a try
anyone had any experience with this for Paris and London? good signal?
Thanks. Just in time. Travelling this week
