I know right
Now now people, while I agree, Nintendo are coming out swinging as a maniacal evil anti-consumer organisation, this is still quite a deal. Let's respect the OP and comment on how good a deal this is! Well done :-)
Nintendo have always been known for their more "premium" pricing models compared to their competition. What they are doing with the Switch and their first party titles is nothing new.
@Tyrx: Ahh OK, that makes it OK then? Sure thing… Nintendo take me to town! It's nothing new so you can abuse your customer base all you like! @Tyrx approves :-)
Good deal, but seriously garbage system launch.
Considering selling mainly for 2 reasons:
"120hz" screen is a joke, with the response time of a 30hz screen it looks like a smeary mess.
Gamekey games. I went to have a look at what games were available on the weekend and essentially all of them are gamekeys. Edit: except 1st party Nintendo games and cp2077
wow they are stil trying to sell this collectors edition
Buy it, dont open it, wrap it up good in cling wrap, stick it in a cupboard and forget about it.
You are almost certainly better off buying $100 in an asx200 index fund; there were tens of thousands of these produced.
I never said anything about $$ value lol
Zelda Collectors will buy anything Zelda so you never know.
Personally i think the Switch has ended the days of lower volume Collectors editions by Nintendo.
Though there will always be the odd low number release by other publishers like the Gris Signature Edition that will become attractive to collectors and gain value.
Or you could just bundle a limited fortnite skin with the console like the Double Helix edition and watch people pay thousands of dollars for a code lol.
I sold a Wii U game recently that was basically a cardboard box no game inside, just a code for the game, but it was Pokemon. I had no intention of selling but they offered $900 for a game i paid $15 for.
Is the pokemon game called pokemon rumble?
Then 20 years later find it, look that it is worth nothing, throw it in the vaporizer (we'll all have one of those in 20 years).
We all had one of them 40 years ago as well!
Also, are the bad boy bubby of switch games?
your details miss the art book that is surely the best inclusion here (apart from the game).
I remember I preordered this thinking it would sold out on release. Who knew it would still be available for purchase today and have the price slashed in half…
Same lol…
Same!!
Seems wild that there's any of these left, considering how popular a release TotK was.
None left in a 100km radius of Melbourne.
Release price was too much and the collectables too little.
it was $65 last year
very lazy collectors edition
Typical switch collectors edition.
They started going cheap from wii u / 3ds tbh. Thin cardboard with steel books and pins as extras. Where were the sound tracks and stuff.
Not really. Botw was much better than this with the sword statue. I skipped this at launch for obvious reasons. $99 is a great price for this
Very lazy… only worthwhile inclusion is the artbook.
Guys use BigW welcome discount! $10 off $75 making it $89
I signed up, but then whilst waiting for my email and code I read the T&C and it said not valid for clearance items. :-(
That said I know some bigw codes have worked where they shouldn't so worth a go! I just figured no bueno so admittedly didn't actually try myself and just ordered before getting my code.
$99 should have been the price at launch, so not a bargain!
Nintendroids need to stop letting greedy nintendon't milking them…. Pathetic!!
Actually insane they charge for switch 2 upgrade
