Boost Mobile: $9 Cashback on 25GB 28-Day Prepaid SIM for $13 Delivered (50GB First 3 Recharges) @ TopCashback AU

800

I asked TA for a cheap Boost SIM and it's $4 after cashback. Offer ends 30/09/25 11:59pm AEST.

Edit:

For activations made between 7 Oct 25 and 2 Apr 26, bonus inclusions are 75GB on activation. Next 2 recharges 75GB/$39 by 4 May 26. 25GB/$39 ongoing.

Previously:

SIM includes first recharge. 50GB for the first 3 recharges for new activations. 25GB from 4th recharge. Activate by 6 Oct 25, remaining recharges by 5 Dec 25. All for use in Aus. 28 day expiry. Incl. international calls.

My notes:

  • Please note that letting the number expire and not recharging is eligible for cashback.
  • Please don't deactivate or port away until you receive the cashback. Deactivate means requesting Boost to remove the number.
  • Terms and conditions are from Telstra/Boost and apply to all cashback providers. Confirmed with the rep tightarse here, here and here.
  • Cashback is on the purchase of the physical SIM only. You can convert to eSIM after you have received the physical SIM. Activate the physical SIM first, insert and then convert to eSIM.
  • If you're a current Boost customer, you will need to port out into another provider and then port back into Boost. Please see the steps in my comment here.

TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave and close any additional browser tabs.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.
  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it will result in an untracked purchase and the purchase will be ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on eSIMs, recharges, phones, bundles, accessories, $2 SIMs.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards for payment and/or purchase of gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • You must accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • You must always return to TopCashback and click the 'get cashback' button through to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.
  • To be eligible for cashback, all transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted/negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

These cheap one month expire plans with huge data pack are so annoying, why not just extend to a year, I would make better use of the 50GB across a year in my cellular devices.

    • +5

They are planning on people not using the full 50GB in a month and that they can pay another monthly fee for the next. Busnass

      • +1

        28 day fee at that

  • +6

I would assume many people from OZB are on the block list to buy this 28-day card.

    • +1

unable to order directly from boost and unable to activate the sim on the website(have to do it via live chat) since the boost madness few years back

      • +1

        Not only KFC then hey?

    • I cant place order. Anyway to get out of block list ? I have asked their support they said there is no restriction. I cant even order telstra sim online.

      • +2

@pluto When you are unable to pay due to "SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG" message, please try the following suggestions:

        • Use a debit card (instead of credit card).
        • Use a different email.
        • Type your address manually.
          (i) Type any address and choose "I can't find my address" as shown here.
(ii) Add your address manually in the "Address" section shown here. It's below "Delivery address".
(iii) Vary a little e.g. St instead of Street, Ave instead of Avenue etc.
        • Vary your name e.g. Pete instead of Peter, Bob, Rob instead of Robert etc.

If you experience any issues at the checkout page, start all over again to ensure tracking. Click the pink button at TopCashback through to Boost website again.

        Good luck!

      • support they said there is no restriction

This never fails to make me laugh. Telstra IT implementation at its finest.

      • +1

Change name, contact phone, use different card, email. I finally succeeded after changing my outlook email to gmail.

    • +3

      $4 is cool shit.
      $0 is the shit.

    • +4

      Yes, r u OK?

      • -5

First sim is $4 after Cashback, you need to stay on boost for 3 months to get Cashback. Aren't the next 2 months after the first recharge full price?

Educate me so I'm ok 😁

        • +3

I pay $4 (after cashback) for this SIM with a new number, do not recharge and let the number expire.

Please read the post description again:

Please note that letting the number expire and not recharging is eligible for cashback.

Many OzBargainers are using this SIM for a spare number and not porting in their regular number.

Please also refer to my comment here.

          • -3

@trixieb: Now I understand, I have enough numbers. I thought everyone was using it for sim slutting

  • +1

Good good. Was waiting to see what we'd get with the changeover after 22/9.

    • What changeover?

      • +1

Sale between the plans from Boost. 2 other Boost offers ended on 22/09.

  • Damn, bought the Lebara $9 pack last week..

  • Still waiting for Pizza Hut to track

    • +3

You have submitted a claim already. There's nothing more for you to do. Just wait for Pizza Hut to process the claim. As you have been familiar with the process, cashback and claims can take several months to pay.

      • +3

👍, not only you are very helpful answering / explaining everything to ecerybody, but also remembers things being discussed in other threads. You have beeb great. I even start to wonder do you look like. 😀

  • +1

Perfect timing. Already tracked after 3 minutes.

  • +1

I was really waiting for this Boost Mobile deal! Thank you!!!

  • +1

I wonder if they approve cashback after a few days now like they do on ShopBack.

    • +4

In the last few months, Telstra/Boost has confirmed early (before the 30 days) at TopCashback.

      Please see my comments here.

      • +1

Thanks, I'll take a punt. Sorry about the accidental neg (I meant to upvote).

  • -1

Dang. Was looking for a cheap monthly prepaid for the parents when they visit. This wouldve been nice but they arrive oct 12 in Australia. Activation period too short :(

    • Buy on last day of offer on 30/09/25 and you have 30 days to activate. Please see my comments here.

      • +2

buy now and activate on 12/10 is good, still within 30 days

  • TCB also have $10 cashback available on a $6 SIM at LycaMobile, but I know many people don't like Lyca.

    • +2

The TCB/Lyca offer is posted here. There are some issues as commented. I wouldn't use or recommend Lyca.

  • Has anyone found how long it takes for cashback to be payable for Boost sim purchase?

    • +2

Cashback is usually paid in about 3 months. The last two transactions were paid early. Estimated payable is up to 15 weeks.

      My previous Boost orders:

      • 28th June Purchase. Paid on 12th August.
      • 12th May Purchase. Paid on 25th July.

In the last few months, Telstra/Boost has "confirmed" early (before 30 days) at TopCashback. Some people have mentioned that they didn't activate (or have ported out) when it turned "confirmed" (before 30 days) and received cashback. It's not a guarantee though.

SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase

What do the statuses 'pending', 'confirmed' and 'payable' mean?

      • Edit: 12th May purchase was paid on 24th July, not 25th July.

  • Anyone knows if Boost may go back to 65GB for this $39 sim (discounted to $13)? I'm ok to activate after 6 Oct, if I'm getting more data. Earlier in July'2025 they decreased the total data to 50 GB from the earlier 65 GB.

    • +1

Sorry no idea. Whenever you activate, you will get the current offer (if any) at the time of activation.

      • -1

OP, thanks for responding to several comments here on this post.

I've ordered a physical SIM, as eSim are not eligible for Cashback. Any idea how soon after the physical SIm activation may I convert to eSim using the Boost Mobile App? Can it be almost instantly after the physical SIM activation?

  • So second and third charge will be $39 each time?

    • +2

Yes. Most of us do not recharge so it only costs $4 for a spare number.

Please see my comments here and here.

  • I’m overseas atm, does anyone know if this will still track?

    • Don't know about boost specifically but several tcb AU purchases have tracked for me when using an overseas IP address

  • Can I still get cashback if I do not recharge after initial 28-days?
If yes, how to block the auto recharge after 28-days?
Looking for a this as an option for overseas visiting family member.

    • @trixieb any idea?

      • +1

I mentioned in my post description under "My notes" (first line):

Please note that letting the number expire and not recharging is eligible for cashback.

There is no auto-recharge with Boost.

        • Wow, so I can still use it for one month only.

          • +1

@bluespider: For the data and to make calls, you have 28 days from activation. However the number will remain active for 6 months which means you can still receive text messages (& phone calls) during the 6 months.

            From Boost:

Your number will expire if you do not recharge your service for 6 months.

Your Boost Mobile number will remain active for six months after your last recharge expires before it is automatically deactivated.

  • SIM includes first recharge. 50GB for the first 3 recharges for new activations. 25GB from 4th recharge. Activate by 6 Oct 25, remaining recharges by 5 Dec 25. All for use in Aus. 28 day expiry. Incl. international calls.

This is just for the bonus data right? I am free to activate later (but within 30 days of purchase for the cashback to be approved obviously)?

    • Yes for the bonus data advertised currently.

Whenever you activate, you will get the current offer (if any) at the time of activation.

For cashback, you would have to activate within 30 days of purchase. You don't need to recharge.

Please also see my comments here and here.

  • dumb question, if i buy a new number with this deal, would this show up as a Telstra service on my Telstra App (under my telstra ID)?

    • +1

No. You will need to download My Boost Mobile app.

I am a Telstra customer with an active Telstra service but the Boost number doesn't show up in My Telstra app.

  • +1

Thanks, tracked in a few minutes :)

  • +1

Thanks OP, tracked in a few minutes as expected :)

  • +1

Bought and tracked in 3 mins. Thanks TA :)

  • Bought and tracked within minutes. Cheers

  • still haven't received the card how can I active by 6th Oct?

    • I'm in Perth too. Previous Boost SIMs were sent by StarTrack Express and had arrived within 1-2 business days.

Hopefully you will receive before 6th Oct. You can check with Boost support on the tracking details if you weren't emailed.

Please see my comment on activation date.

      • I haven't received any email update. I just contacted them, and the tracking they gave me shows it is still in NSW

      • they've been sending this latest batch by regular letter post. mine was sent last monday, arrived at perth airport late friday.

        • Thanks. That's unfortunate. This year I had received all Boost SIMs by express post. I think early last year there were a few by regular post.

@RichardF89 I also don't receive the tracking email but some people have mentioned they get it.

          • +1

            @trixieb: thanks for your update

            • +1

@RichardF89: Have you received your SIM yet? Whenever you activate, you will get the current offer (if any) at the time of activation. Just checked the Boost website on this SIM:

For activations made between 7 Oct 25 and 2 Apr 26, bonus inclusions are 75GB on activation.

              • @trixieb: I received it last Thursday. Thanks for the following

          • @trixieb: All mine this year have been sent via StarTrack. I don't think I get a dispatch email from Boost but I automatically get a notification in my AusPost on dispatch anyway because it's linked to my delivery address.

Edit: I checked and I don't get a dispatch email but I'm not currently using my TelstraID-registered email address for my orders. Whenever I use my TelstraID-registered email however, I get a dispatch email.

            • @wavesgreen: Thanks. I also get the Aus Post notification but only after it has been sent and delivered.

I haven't used the same Telstra email. Aus Post notification could be linked to my phone number. I get those emails when AliExpress orders are delivered too (different address).

            • @wavesgreen: This has been my experience until very recently

              • @tdw: I ordered on Saturday but no update yet if it's sent. It usually gets added to my Aus Post app automatically the next day and I can see the tracking details. Then it arrives in 1-2 days. Haven't ever got a dispatch email before.

                • @junet: I ordered on Friday, got a delivery notice on the same day (via regular AusPost). Got it today even though tracking said it was delivered yesterday 🤷🏻‍♂️

                  • @CVonC: Check the tracking online and what suburb it was delivered to. A couple of years ago Boost was sending me the tracking for other people's orders, showing delivered in other States. All my sims arrived just fine though, completely different tracking numbers on the envelopes. This was when they would send them via Domestic Letter with Tracking prepaid envelopes.

                    • @wavesgreen: Suburb is the same. Tracking ID is the same. So I dunno why they indicated it was delivered yesterday when it was literally delivered today.

But yeah during the epic profit era when everyone bought multiple sims, I did receive just one sim meant for someone else.

                • @junet: Received today, regular letter. About 5 business days now, no more StarTrack. Glad it arrived!

    • ordered on 9-24, not any email update from boost.

      • There seem to be a delay in this round and unusual for the 28-day SIM. Please contact Boost support.

        • I contacted support, and they gave me a tracking number with a "Pending" status. If I don’t contact them, they will never fix it for me. lol

      • My SIM magically appeared in the mailbox yesterday. No tracking nor dispatch email. Weird.

  • still haven't received the card-ordered 27.09

  • Me too haven't received the card as well.

  • Arrived in just over a week for me, I'm in Metro Sydney. It was sent via regular post with tracking.

  • Got mine, sent via Domestic Letter with Tracking.

@trixieb No dispatch email or notification in my AusPost app but that's to be expected for a Domestic Letter with Tracking and the previously mentioned TelstraID-registered email address issue.

    • Thanks for the update. Same without any notifications. Ordered on 30/09 and received on 07/10.
