My 12gb 3080ti is working a treat. Sure it's not as much vram as you'd ideally want these days but it's also probably not really going to limit you on a 5070 and in the grand scheme of things I'm quite surprised to see this kind of pricing on a recent GPU.
Hell, my 10gb 3080 still runs pretty amazingly well. The only people having issues with 10-12gb ram are the ones who bought 4k monitors without checking spec requirements for games
This card 5070 is only 25% faster than a 3080.
Its not worth the upgrade for me, I'll keep running my original release 10GB 3080 FHR card. Runs BF6 1440p fine at over 100fps without all the eye candy stuff.

Since they were purchased by DigiDirect their shipping times have absolutely shat the bed, not that they were super speedy before. No communication either, if you ask for an ETA you'll get it when they finally ship it.

Not really, its why it is priced as so. It also makes people potentially jump to the next tier of card which from a business perspective is what they obviously want.
At the end of the day you have to weigh up your use case and if the card fits your needs. Id imagine most people arent buying this card to blast max settings and ray tracing at 4k on AAA games. If they are then yes 12gb isnt enough.

Hard to justify AMD while DLSS is so much better than FSR
in AMDs defense, FSR 4 that released with these cards is pretty decent now
according to techspot/HUB, they're pretty close these days with FSR 4. Though you're right in that dlss is supported in more games. IMO the extra vram and raw raster performance is worth it if they're close in pricing.
Generally DLSS 4 > FSR 4 > DLSS 3 > FSR 3, so it really isn't.
However, Nvidia still handles heavy RT loads much better.

There is new version of fsr 4 which is better than before. Fsr 4 version 4.0.2.
There really isnt much in it between fsr 4 and dlss 4 and with fsr redstone it might even match it with how close it is now.

100%. 9070 is the better deal. 4gb extra vram that might not cut it for 5070 in the coming years. Better raster ~10% and fsr 4 which is very close to dlss 4. All the recent games except Indiana Jones and Doom: The dark ages can enable fsr 4.
Borderlands 4, Mgs delta, Silent hill f, Dying lights the beast, Cronos, Hell is us. You name it and fsr 4 can be enabled. Good thing is even 7000 and 6000 series can get it too now.
