Unable to Add Restaurant Choice and Café Choice Gift Cards to iPhone Apple Wallet

Has anyone recently had this issue?

I am unable to add any more Choice cards to my Apple Wallet on my iPhone.

Any suggestions or recommendations?

I asked the card issuer, they said:

We can confirm we are seeing success when our cards are being added to wallet. Each individual device has a score with your wallet provider based on the age of your account, amount of cards added, and if you're using a VPN. All of this is taken into consideration when your provider allows cards to be added to your wallet, unfortunately, we are unable to change this score. I would recommend contacting your wallet provider directly for further assistance.

I called Apple, was told to update iOS and a bunch of random stuff nothing worked. The only remaining option is to reset the phone cards and wifi etc.

Update: Resetting did not work

  1. Stop adding any more cards for a few days. Blackhawk and Apple lockout periods vary from adding max 2 cards every few days, to banning you from adding any cards for a month. Every time you try (and fail), you reset the lockout period.
  2. Use an old phone
  3. Use a Samsung or Android phone

  Hi @MegFan - I had this issue when using Blackhawk-issued VISA Prepaid Cards eg, 7-Eleven Fuel Cards..

  I had to wait a few months before the lockout period expired on my phone. I just ended up getting an Android phone to add to Google Pay, and 10 cards were easily used.

  A bit of an inconvenience, but I wasn't bothered waiting months to use the fuel cards.

  Sorry that this happened to you, but this is the downside of these Blackhawk-issued cards.

  Yeah, I had the same issues recently, it’s quite randomly and I need to try everyday and just now I successfully add one of them and about to add the other one but failed. It’s quite annoying.

  I won’t buy this card again and will buy the TCN in the future.
