  • and if you go for even cheaper and like refurb for $695.00

    https://auto-robot.com.au/product/roborock-s7-max-auto-empty…

*Note I've never dealt with refurb robots other than buying straight second hand or this website

  • My experience with this model

    Faulty automated mapping

Few problems with auto navigation * Goes to zone where it should not go * Cant find home charging point so has to reset map * No go zone keeps changing after working few times * Takes time to navigate to room as I don't see way to define entrance point.

So have to watch vacuum while it is working. Cant rely 100% on navigation

    Support is not great.

    • +1

You just described most robot vacuum models. They all run into some problem at some stage!

      • It's not about encountering the problem, but the specifics of the problem. Poor mapping, getting looping and stucking, etc are all serious issues for thousand dollar models

    • I have experienced the same. Mapping stopped working twice for me. First time Roborock fixed it when unit was sent back via JB. Issue re-occured after a few weeks.

Finally JB refunded the full amount after returning the device.

    • My S7's VibraRise system started failing after a couple of years. Couldn't be bothered having to pack and send to Roborock in NSW (though support were very good when i had to do a previous warranty claim) so went back to a model that didn't lift the mop (Q8 Max+).

Can't say i've ever had any mapping issues with either models though.

  • I got the Qrevo C with the previous Perks deal and am very happy with it. Seems much better than this model.
