I tried both and I prefer the style from the OP, you can get a good jaw-like grip when opening, but it can get dirty if you don't rinse it properly after use. The single arm ones are a bit too fidgety.

what cans doesn't come with the pull ring these days?
Some low cost tomato paste, Beer malt Can. Yes, still has some cans doesn't.
I haven't seen a can of beetroot with a ring pull yet.

I use my oxo can opener (different but similar to this one) even on ring pulls because it doesn't leave a sharp edge or a lip that catches liquid.
I'm incompetent enough to break the pull ring and have to use opener still also.

Are these reliable? The last few cans I've opened I've had to resort to the swiss army knife because the one in the second draw is a heap of shit.
Really good highly recommend got a set after the kmart ones i bought didnt last 6 months had them 1 1/2 still going strong and use them every day to open canned peaches

I got the red one when Amazon had it for $10 a few weeks ago. Amazon was price matching Myer so didn’t have to pay for delivery
I like the bottle opener on this type. Shame can't click and collect at any stores near me.
