I found the length of this too short, and would recommend something longer if around 6ft. I believe the dimensions included the entrance annexe.

I'm 6'1 and I find it ok but I'm a side sleeper, I can stretch out on my back but I can see it may be an issue for a Taller back sleeper…

I'm really not a fan of end entry tents because I have dodgy knees and I find it hard to climb into, but this is pretty light and it has a tiny footprint so I still use it for offtrack areas where I may need to camp in small spots…

Some odd footage of the tent from 2021: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohkzHwSVUYQ

Some more from earlier this year with senseless waffle: https://youtu.be/uJWBDjKCIyw?t=3511

For the price I think they're pretty good…

      Cloud-up 1, 20D total = 1521 grams, (with tags & plastic bags removed)
      Footprint groundsheet = 196g
      Tent inner, fly + poles + bag = 1181g
      12 Pegs + bag + guy-lines = 144g

      I'm a Nintendo 6'4

    • As a 6'6" person who was considering a purchase, I appreciate this comment!

1 person tent? Finally, privacy from my cat.

I had the 2 person version of this tent and sold it.
    - Front entry is awkward to get in and out. Much prefer side entry tents.
    - Very small vestibule.
    - Floor space is fine but the sloping inner mesh wall makes headroom very limited unless I'm sitting in the middle of the tent and I'm not a tall person.

I recommend paying a bit more to get the Mongar or Star-River. Sure they're a few hundred grams heavier but it's more comfortable.

    • I have a poly Star-River 2p ($117 at the time), great tent but it's a bit weighty, I generally only use it for motorbike and tinny camping… The poly doesn't absorb water like the nylon so it dries very fast which is nice, weight is the downside though…

The Mongars look great but they tend to be a bit pricey, I cant justify the money since I already have a Cloudup-1 and a Lanshan-2 4-season, lol

    • Front entry is awkward to get in and out. Much prefer side entry tents.

Side entry has easier access. End entry allows easier inflating of mat in situ - important if the ground is dirty or it's raining. I always use my side entry for "fun around the fire" camps but often the end entry for hikes.

  • Is that a good brand?
Some of their other tents seem to be well priced.

I'm after a 6 or 8 person tent so this one's too small, but I wouldn't mind some feedback about this brand

For the money I think they're quite good, most of them are copies of expensive name-brand tents… Personally I'm happy with the cheap compromise, I couldn't bring myself to spend $400+ on a tent, lol…

I have no idea how good their big tents are sorry…

They're a tried and true budget brand.
For the price, They're considered very good.
Most times can be found cheaper from aliexpress.

Last one I had was a Coleman Instant up 6p Silver I think, from Snowys.
It lasted us 7 or 8 years, going every year multiple times per year, but towards the end the stitches started breaking and our last trip was for Straya day where the whole thing started falling appart.

It was big, heavy and I didn't like the layout, but it was easy for my wife to setup alone, so she was happy.

If you're after a large-ish tent yet lightweight, it'll very likely be made of Sil-nylon fabric.
With said fabric, try to avoid prolonged UV exposure as it deteriorate the fabric.

  • I notice they have the 20D navy-blue CloudUp-2 for $136:

Came here to say this - it's a good deal, especially if the cheapest 1P is now $104. I bought the CloudUp-2 a few years ago and have been very happy with it.

I have the 210T, 20D, and 10D versions of the Cloud Up 2. For a total of 1.3kg including floor mat the 10D version is super light for a complete tent is super light and enough space for gear for 1 person, or great with a double mat for 2 people.

  • +2

No longer available. Cheapest is now 210T Light Green at $104.30

    • Just be mindful the 210T poly is a little heavier, only 200g, but it adds up when you have it on your back, lol

  • Are these tents worth the price difference over an OZtrail Tasman 2 Person Dome Tent for $43?

    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B077GD45HP?ref_=ppx_hzod_title_…

OZtrail says it weighs 2kg so only a 200g difference in weight. Are the materials a lot better on the Cloud-up?
