  • Yes, yes - the spectre range is going EOL…
So, if you like the range, might be one of your last chances to pick up a device.

Throw in an extended warranty too and your are sorted for a few years ahead.

you get the worst of everything

    intel
    4050
    poor batterey
    poor colour

    • Not 'worst' of everything at all.
Bang for buck its not bad at all.
Move along and grab a OMEN or Zbook for $5k+ then… :)
I consider it a 'current' range going EOL clearance model. For sub $3k its not a bad device at all if you want a convertible 360 unit.

This is an incredibly shit deal for a 360

So the Spectre will be replaced with something similar, reviving the old Omnibook branding.

          I think Spectre sounded better.

          • @OzyBe: What i'm seeing - nothing of the same/similar build quality as one comes to expect from the Spectre.
Not many (except workstation and gaming specific) devices with nVidia GPUs in the current 'new' lineup, so expect to pay over $4k for something with 32gb ram, nVidia GPU and and and.

@mickyb80: No, I have a Spectre. It's just aesthetics. It overheats like crazy, the graphics glitch out, the software is bad, and the build quality is poor (hinge issues).

    • Whats wrong with intel??

    HP Spectre

    JB Spectre

What in the (profanity) name of bad deals

    • Indeed not a worthwhile deal at all.

  • Don't buy spectre machine it's rubbish

Ha! old models listed in that thread.
Same could be said about almost any NB model from any vendor.

I've had 3 spectres in the past and all have been great. Granted 1 had the screen replaced 2 due to the rubber raisers on the keyboard top casing being too small and flex of the screen onto the casing leaving some marks, however, stability and performance on each of them as been great.

It also depends what you are using the device for. Let's keep it accurate and a 'fit for purpose and design' discussion.

Again, the thread you link goes to is a 3yr OP thread. Nothing wrong with the range.

      • Please read newer comments. Tell me a decent machine that HP makes tbh

For anyone interested, it's Ultra 7 155H. I personally would suggest to go for 226V ~ 258V which provide much better power efficiency

    • Especially for the Spectre. Why would they even put a random arse 4050 there

  • Why is the processor not listed in the specs?
