A "Melbourne magic" coffee is a specialty, milk-based espresso drink originating from Melbourne that features a double ristretto shot (a shortened, more concentrated espresso) combined with silky, textured milk and served in a smaller, approximately 150–160ml (5-6 ounce) cup. It offers a richer, bolder, and less bitter flavour profile than a standard flat white, with a balanced coffee-to-milk ratio that lets the sweet characteristics of the coffee shine through.
For interest, the Starbucks Magic is more like an upsized Magic, as it's an 8 ounce drink made with a triple ristretto and steamed milk.
