this. It ran for 3 days and I bought $2500 * 3 of them and stashed them. So all my purchases are effectively TopCashback (0.3% ~ 15%) + 10% off, plus of course I only buy good Amazon discounts in the first place, placing the pricing effectively 70%+ off every purchase (e.g. a $100 router is essentially $30).

Do preorders get reduced price from amazon?
Preorder price guarantee exists only up to the time the order is shipped. I got stung with this with DK Bananza as I preordered it for $99 with Amazon and they price matched Target $89 a few hours after they shipped mine. Chat wouldn't refund the difference.

Must depend on the agent, but yeah, wouldn't budge with Bananza. I think it's probably better to support Target anyway, Bezos is a bum.
Same thing happened to me with Bananza, but chat gave me Amazon credit for the difference as a "one time exception". But yeah, I learnt my lesson and cancelled my Amazon pre-order for Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 once I heard Target were doing it at $69.
Amazon Support Chat just gave me a $10 credit for the difference without hesitation.
I got the $10 credit as well although the agent initially asked me to return the one I had and buy it again. I had to ask for the credit and was told it was a one time exception, you would think it would cost them more to send the game back and forth rather than give a $10 credit and there is the added annoyance of travelling to the post office.
This is also frustrating as the pre order has a price guarentee.
I just asked them to give me a $10 credit but they refused it. After I told them I wanted to return the item and re-buy it they were able to cancel the order before it went out and I re-ordered. Depends on the agent I guess.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars was discontinued on March 31, 2021 and removed from the Nintendo eShop.
Still plenty on the second-hand market for ~$100.
Yeah I sold mine (never really played it in the couple years I owned it) a couple of months ago for over double what I paid for it on a no reserve ebay auction. Apparently people really want that pretty sloppy compilation.
Ordered from Amazon last night for $79. It's out for delivery today. Customer service wouldn't refund the difference. Would only offer to cancel the order and let me order it again at the lower price. So annoyingly stupid.
Last time Amazon dropped price on launch day (Borderlands) they auto re-funded me at midnight the night it had arrived, so that may happen.

I'm in Syd and delivery not available. C&C too far. So Amazon it is with same day delivery. Plus current 7% off $100 Amazon gift cards from Shopback doesn't make it so bad.
