This and a stack of other games have been added from Ubisoft plus today. A bunch of new tiers as well.

Users who wish to block deal posts featuring games added to "gaming subscription services" can do so by clicking the Gaming Subscription Addition tag, then clicking the 3 dot menu, then clicking hide on new deals and/or front page. Ensure that on the home page, the new front page is selected for customisation to show. Video example here and more info here.

Users who wish to block deal posts featuring any kind of media added to "subscription services" can do so by adding SUBS to their front page customisation. (Xbox Game Pass, Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus are considered additions to subscription services.)

            @edfoo: Yep. I mean, it is still good value for money for those that do a lot of gaming and play most of what’s on offer, easily worth it. But for those that just play 3-5 games a year (most of OzBargain, you know who you are with your backlogs).. it might be better to just buy the games you want when on special?

        They really thought pushing TV and forcing the Kinect on everyone back in 2013 was somehow going to make them more money. They've lost all the goodwill from the OG Xbox and 360 and they'll never get it back.

      Apparently using a VPN can get you banned or just flat out won't work so cheap keys are out. EA Play for Xbox subs convert at a rate of 3:1, so 3 years for $180 would get you 12 months of GPU, you can probably get EA Play subs cheaper if you look around.

        This seems to have been changed to a 5:1 conversion.

        "EA Play conversion percentage: 20% of your remaining time will convert to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and be rounded up to the next full day. For example, 90 days remaining of EA Play will convert to 18 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time."

          You're kidding! I was reading about it last night when I saw the news dropped to see if there was a decent way to resub. To be honest, even when it was 3:1 I still decided I wasn't renewing.

      I think the only way to do it and It's a PITA. is make a new account, buy Indian gp. Share it to main account. (Search online you should be able to find a method, I don't think it's worth it either way it still cost a lot compared to tur method)

      You can't do cloud play this way.

      I think most of us gave up when it got difficult. I have it now at the moment because I got 1 month free with controller

    Cancelling my ultimate subscription after the huge price hike this morning. There’s no value in $36 per month unless you play Xbox religiously and absolutely nothing else.

    I would have been ok with paying up to $25 per month but now I’ll be dropping to the lowest tier. Sadly I reckon enough people will continue to pay for Ultimate so the loss in other areas will balance out and make zero difference to the pricing model.

    A shame.

      Luckily mine is covered till August next year

      Based on current rates, I'd need to play a AAA game every 2-3 months to cover the cost, which I don't see happening. Will be interesting to see what happens long-term with this decision

      This issue is the the lowest plan is $156. And needed for online play. If you buy call of duty thats another $100 then if you buy one more first party for $100 your now close to ultimate.

    These new prices will come into effect tonight for new subscribers and November 4th for existing subscribers.

    Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – $35.95 per month (up from $22.95 per month)
    PC Game Pass – $19.45 per month (up from $13.95 per month)
    Xbox Game Pass Premium – $17.95 per month (up from $15.95 per month)
    Xbox Game Pass Essential – $12.95 per month (up from $10.95 per month)

    I think this sort of aligns with PlayStation subs now?

        It's going to be better off buying the games on sale again and a new title wherever it comes out.

        That price increase is insane and I think after over 20 years being on it (Gold) that it has made it too much for what I use and what is included.

        Just buy physical on console for games you don’t intend on playing online, and buy digital on PC for games you do intend on playing online a lot.
        Unless you have a Switch/2, in which case, nevermind.

    Used to be the best deal of gaming industry. Of course, by rule of ensh**tification it wouldnt last. I have canceled my sub since last year and with this i wouldnt even consider resub

    OP forgot to mention the price hike for GP across the board.

    Opposite of a deal, and the introduction of an average open world game and old ubisoft titles does not change that.

        It wasn't a conversion trick, just straight up cheaper AU vouchers. 3yrs is just the max it lets you preload.

        I did the same, it wasn't super cheap like the Turkey or conversion tricks but I think it was still about 50% off.

      sorry, it wasnt one of those 3 year conversions. i had a sub with maybe a year to go, and just topped up to 3yrs using the keys.

      They don't change the quantity just because MS increases the subscription price. As long as the GC hasn't expired you will get 3 months of ultimate when you redeem them. There was a lag of weeks last time MS raised prices and then retailers adjusted the price, this is normal.

    The jump for ultimate is pretty crazy but who was paying full price anyway? Before the price hike you could do the conversions for $13~ a month or similar with bulk buying from key sites. No doubt there will be other ways to still get it cheaper than the full price in the future.

    Just buy the games you want outright and ignore the stocking filler.

    This, with Xbox's lame overpriced entry in to the handheld space, signalling the death spiral for M$.

    Steam has a better all round experience, which has convinced me to install Steam OS on my ROG Ally. There is no need for the Xbox app anymore. The only thing that would save M$ now would be to open up the platform. Allow the Xbox PC app to play console titles natively and visa versa (allow Xbox console to play PC titles) and that's never going to happen.. Game Pass is now dead to me.
