I think they're comparing to the 'normal'/original flavour of Migoreng (the instant noodle brand) while this is a chicken flavour variant
They're not comparing to the actual official Indonesian dish

See how on the label it says in big lettering "Migoreng" that's what we identify the brand as for these guys.

Either way is such bullshit. So many small restaurants in Indonesia use indomie as the base and then add fresh ingredients. Of course they also use the msg seasoning and it’s excellent every time.

Mie goreng is literally fried noodle. The mie goreng you see in Indonesian/Malaysian restaurants are just a specific version of it.
I know this cause I grew up in Indonesia and it was my staple food in uni (made myself or bought from street vendors).
Coles brand is pretty bland, don't like the texture of the noodles and the flavor packet always tastes quite harsh.

Though I’m no noodle snob, have tried many and find Maggi single pack from 5 pack easiest to open without scissors if taking to work etc , taste good to me too, just my opinion…
