This is the new ATL. Currently $509 ATL in Australia but $425.05 via US. Strange thing is they are made in Australia here in Sydney but somehow journey via US back to AU is cheaper.

Great set to record in camera or directly into your phone. Time is very usable; Mic is built into the transmitter but also comes with 2 additional lav mics so you have a smaller mic on your collar.

  • Really, RODE stuff is still made in Sydney?…

    • Probably just assembled, I doubt any of the core components would be made in Aus.

"Making everything in-house, in Australia, is the secret, says Freedman. “I just walk across the road and talk to the engineers. Two days later, we’re making it. If I was relying on an overseas supplier, you place the order, they gear it up, they make it and ship it. Three months later, you can see the first sample. And the price is higher. They’ve got you. What will you do if they put their price up 15%? Nothing. And if there’s a fault with it, there’s a big discussion of whose problem it is. Forget it.”

While there’s a commonly held belief that Australia no longer makes stuff beyond lattes and McMansions, Freedman’s RØDE is an example of a manufacturing sector thriving in Australia."

      • Furney's in Mudgee are one of the places they make parts for Rode.

Before anyone believes this is actually 32 bits, they should read my comment HERE and the following comments, about how fake that is.

The above comment is about DACs, but it's also true for ADCs. That level of resolution just isn't possible at the speeds they're mentioning.

I have read about this that RODE Wireless Pro not having actual 2 ADC but working some sort of software to create a 32-bit float. However, this is not designed to take to music concerts and record music concerts. For most use cases, content creators this is more than enough and especially for the price, what else can you get? and don't forget the RODE support. I have had RODE team go above and beyong when it comes to required support for their products.

Stock issues. Clearing stock elsewhere lead to lower prices, coupled with quota shipping. This happens a lot for canned food and fruits. Even our fuel is possibly cheaper when we export it and import it back lmao.
