Cheapest I've seen for the RTX 5070 ti. Nvidia perks like CUDA and DLSS might be worth the $170 premium on the RX 9070 XT.

ATL according to PGrid

Unfortunately not one for me since I want a 2 slot card.

Card Dimensions: 328.7 x 137.7 x 59.7mm; 3 Slot

yeah got the pgrid alert too for the ATL. But same boat as OP, need a SFF card. Also reckon there's still probably another $50-100 for these to drop in the run into the supers.

Yeah, I'm shooting for a sub $1200 2 slot 5070 ti, otherwise I'll just wait for the SUPER cards

    • -5

You got the alert but didn’t post it?

  • +3

wow they have come down almost half the price i paid at lunch lol

    • WE TODL YOU TO HODL

(Seriously though, I can't blame you that much, with all the price insanity since COVID, there was no guarantee they would fall in price. The 4090 was above it's overinflated RRP for what - it's entire life, basically? Just because it makes no sense for a GPU price to be double the historical trendline price and then just defy gravity for years hasn't stopped it, happening. For years now. It's almost shocking that they finally ARE falling in price, like GPUs used to, for decades before COVID).

      • It's probably because of crypto (eth) mining moved to proof of stake

Never buy nvidia cards at launch. For example look at the price drops 5070 ti had compared to 9070xt.

I think 5070ti was close to $1600 when it launched and now its $1249.

9070xt launch price was $1139 and it barely drops below $1000.

Not really surprising that 5070ti dropped this much because 9070xt sold better than 5070ti in aus.

      From hardware unboxed.

For all the accusations of HWU cherry picking benchmark suites, this is a new level of cherry picking. Not a single RX 9000 SKU has hit the Steam hardware survey, and global estimates of AMD dGPU unit sales are in the range of 6-8%… is Australia the only country getting stock??

I get that OEMs are going to have a fair say, but HWU has to be out by a fair margin when it comes to the reality of the AU retail landscape.

        • They had videos trying to explain the lack of show in Steam survey. But lot of their data is public so go check it out. The probable big reason why it is not showing on steam is Asia. Some places just can't live without the NVidia/Intel combo.

@goodwillN1: I'm not interested as much in the Steam survey, that's not what I'm quoting. I do understand that it is voluntary, imperfect, and doesn't really touch the Chinese market.

The work done by Jon Peddle and co is more reliable, and suggests they have been selling 8% of the dGPU market this year globally. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that the RX 9000 sales claims in Germany, Australia, and Japan are not reflective of the global picture.

            • @jasswolf: Yeah but you said HWU is out when it comes to the reality of the AU market specifically.
From the sale info they have and the price behaviour it does not look like the John Peddie stuff reflects AU reality.
Also worth noting NVidia has many more SKUs and thus market segments they are hitting.

              • -1

@goodwillN1: I think it's both, but one more extremely than the other. I just can't trust HWU when it comes to claims that are not readily verifiable.

They have a long history of AMD cheerleading, I only pay attention to specific elements of their reviews rather than their perspective on the market.

      • yeah i had no choice at the time my car failed and it was either get the old gen nvidia or get the new one, and it was launch day when ti happened lol

did you have lunch at GYG?

Hoping ASUS Prime Rtx 5070 TI will drop to $1200.

You can thank me guys. I finally bought this card last week for $1333 so it was obviously going to hit an ATL immediately after

We thank you for your sacrifice

Shall your loss never been forgotten

been there done that and lost 6K

Suddenly makes my $85 not seem so bad

  • Also waiting for a 2 slot card for my gaming / unraid server.
Seems to be only one for the 5070 ti.

  • Hold or buy? Been waiting for a decent 5070ti deal to replace my not-XT RX6800 since the performance boost on 3840x1600 resolution is somewhat needed

    • I have an rx 6800 as well, and wanting to upgrade. But I think I can easily wait a bit longer.

My plan is to wait for a sub $1200 5070 ti, or save up more money for a 5070 ti super when they come out next next year

  • how does 5070ti compare to rx9070xt?

Think we will see a $999 rx9070xt soon?
