GL.iNet Flint 3 - Is This a Good Wi-Fi 7 Router?

Moving from Deco S4 mesh system. After recent nbn upgrade, it looks like my router cannot be used to access top speeds.

Planning to buy

Looking for advice.

    • Thank you. Strange, it had really good reviews online.

I wouldn't trust a single anecdote about performance, we don't know if they were on a convoluted band or had some other configuration issue. Which generally most of the time is the case.

FWIW: I recently bought this and it seems to have really good WiFi performance. Getting 2.4Gbps link speeds through walls on 6ghz links, and much better 5ghz than my old router.

    • Really. I can give it a shot then. Else, will return.

  • If you don't have a use for Wifi 7, buy the flint 2, whcih is cheaper and has better Wifi performance.

    • My current plan has been upgraded to 750mbps. But my router (Deco S4) is not compatible.

My only plan to go for Wifi 7 is future proofing, when there is another upgrade in future.

What are your thoughts on that?

      • Flint 2 will easily do that speed. Depends on the devices you are connecting, are they Wifi 7?

        • No Wifi 7 devices yet.
