Great item, powerful and easy to use.
It has an annoying high pitch noise but not a big deal

    • May I ask how long have you got yours?
I've owned 3 XianMi ones already and they all develop faults around 1.5 to 2 years with daily use. The dial would not register the temperature adjustments properly. I wonder if this is any better.

      Thanks in advance

      • yea that's what I am worried about the dial too and you might have liquid intrusion overtime.
and is the display also good for elderlies (which I'll have to consider when I am getting a new one)?

10 months and light use sometimes i cover the dial if there is splashing oil etc

Had mine for about 2 years, used nearly every day. Have had boiling water overflow a couple of times and probably go where it shouldn't but has been ok.

Just don't be a numpty like me and use a slightly too big pot for a long cook and melt the casing a little :D That said, it soldiers on…

        • Thank you for your reply!! :)

    • How is it at low temp? - does it cycle on and off at low power or can you get a continuous low heat?

      • +2

It's the main reason I bought mine, has a very smooth simmer

      • +1

Maintains a constant power output for each level, minimum being 100W.

Is this much better than some others that apparently have issues maintaining stable temperature

Tefal induction hob is rated much higher (4.8) compared to this (4.3) and is nearly half the price at $75.

      • -3

        Flawed logic

    • Yes this maintains a constant output at all levels, doesn't cycle between full and off like others.

      • Is there a significant hardware difference for this function?
