Sweet! Will use for super swap and exchange for Coles. Ta Op.

    • +5

Theres a Westpac bonus for coles gift cards right now at 4%, totalling 5% with the standard cashback.

      • Oh wow awesome! It should work with this deal as well hey?

  • Is it limited to one 50A$ gift card or can you get more?

    • You can buy as many as you want. You'll only get one $5 bonus.

  • +3

You can opt in now via earn more so you’re locked and ready to go tomorrow

    • This info should be the first piece of info. 500 participants so far. Interesting the deal only has 180 clicks. Where are the other participants coming from?

      • +7

I rarely click links here for shopback, I go open up the app and look for myself , so I’m one of those 500

        • +1

Also pretty much every time I open the ShopBack app I open Earn More. Probably 90% of opt-ins I have clicked before I even load OzBargain.

        • I thought a 'click' was clicking to this page, not through to the actual deal. Makes sense now. I think I did the same.

    • How does one opt-in now? Maybe I'm blind but when I click "Go to Deal", I land on ShopBack's landing page :(

      • +1

        Earn More tab at bottom.

        • -1

I can't see it on mobile web.

          • +1

@RaijnAU: The tabs are displayed in the mobile app.
If you are using mobile web, then open the hamburger menu at top right and then choose earn more

    • So they changed the way it works now? To make the opt in function is more promising.

  • 1/2 less compared to TCB but I reckon SB will bring more in the upcoming days.

    • +4

      TCB sells gift cards??

      • No. But if you spend the money anyway, you save time on the extra step by not buying the GC.

  • +29

    Copy paste from last time

Usual reminder, if you are buying gift cards:

Home Swap 2.25% cashback (+1% extra cashback if using Westpac) has Amazon, Bunnings, Ikea & Officeworks on it & you will get higher cashback than buying Amazon directly (1.5%). All Home Swap retailers listed here. Amazon is currently upsized at 2.5%, so only better buying homeswap with Westpac 1% bonus or if you wanted Bunnings.

Bunnings: Home swap above 2.25% CB + 1% Westpac bonus, instead of buying Bunnings directly (1%).

For eBay there is Tech Swap 2.5% CB, but no Westpac extra.

Chemist Warehouse: Health & Beauty Swap Card 3% CB vs CW directly (1%).

Kmart (Without Westpac card)/Target: Kids Swap 2.25% CB instead of Target (2% CB) or Kmart directly (1.75% CB, unless paying with Westpac, where there is a 1% bonus).

Coles: Shopback Superswap 1.5% CB instead of Coles directly (1% CB). Edit: 5% CB with Westpac or Bank card with Coles directly.

EB Games: Shopback Him Swap 3.5% CB. Best available as far as I am aware.

Note: Remember to check the swap denominations for the retailer that you want to switch. For example (this is unlikely, but double check to be safe): if they have $10, $25 & $40 for that retailer, and you redeem $10 & $25, you would be stuck with $5 that you would have to switch for a different retailer.

    • +1

FYI, Amazon gift cards are 2.5% cashback ATM (upsized) for another 3 days, so may be better for people who don't have Westpac (or are happy for 2.5% cashback vs doing the swapsies for 3.25% cashback on $50 = $0.375 difference)

      • Thanks, just noticed that myself and updated :)

  • No way to get Woolworths right?

    • Woolworths gift card 2% cashback.

    • I actually converted a Prezzee (Super?) Swap card to Woolies today, and went to redeem another Super Swap immediately after, but it had dissapeared as an option…

I assume it was a bug or maybe theres some limit of redemption per day for WW?

      • +2

Prezzee Smart Gift Card can be swapped for WW, Super Swap cannot.

        • Oh, thanks for confirming! It makes sense now! It would help if I could check what the orignal Prezzee card was, before it was converted.

I was actually editing my comment to say that but you replied first haha ;)

          • +4

@OutOfTime: You can swap a Super Swap for an EG gift card which can be used at WW currently btw. Or at least since the weekend, when I used one.

            • +1

@wavesgreen: Thanks for the comment! Ozb comments can be the best with tips like these :)

              • +1

@OutOfTime: Nw, just be aware you have to enter the EG card number manually into the keypad, there's no barcode to scan.

                • +1

@wavesgreen: That's odd. My EG GCs have barcodes. I store them in the WW Rewards app.

                  • @lomie: I have mine in my Prezzee wallet. No barcodes. I manually generated a barcode one time to test it out - didn't recognise it.

                    • +1

@wavesgreen: Ok, add it to the Woolworths Rewards app. The barcode is then available for scanning at the checkouts.

            • @wavesgreen: Nice tips, I couldn’t purchase Ww giftcard on Shopback. It said the deal is not for me :/

              • @SuHao: Oh my apologies that card is only available to Westpac, St George, Bank of Melbourne and Bank SA cardholders.

  • -1

    Are multiple purchases okay?

    • You should be able to spend multiple times to add up to $50, but I would recommend buying a gift card then using that gift card to double dip on cashback if you were say buying from Amazon.

  • +2

    And purchased.

Alright, now everyone… DO NOT PANIC IF THE BONUS DOESN'T TRACK FOR 12+ HOURS, OKAY?

    OKAYY?!!

    Edit: tracked in 5min lol

  • +1

Coles gc has 4% westpac bonus cashback

  • +1

Is using the $5 GC monthly and cashback balance to pay part of the GC amount eligible for this promo?

    • Can’t say anything for the former but the latter is fine.

    • Yes, as long as the amount after the $5 discount is still $50 or over. E.g. Buy $55 GC, apply the $5 discount and you should still get the promo cashback too.

      • The deal doesn't say explicitly how to spend $50, what form of payment to use. I believe that if you are buying a $50 gift card regardless how you spend or apply discounts this transaction should still track. Just want to confirm with @gotyourback

        • +1

Hey guys! 👋 We’re double-checking the $5 off promo part just to be sure, but using your ShopBack Balance for payment shouldn’t be a problem 😊 As long as your total spend is $50 or more, it should still qualify 👍

        • +1

no it need to be 50 AFTER promo code. I bought a $50 card in the last round with the $5 voucher and only tracked $45 for this campaign

  • Mine tracked already 😀 thanks OP

  • $% forgot to click join first.

    • Wasn't Bilbo Baggins aging and loosing his memory?

      • +1

i'll have to buy another gift card now , no biggy!

      • You - want the bonus for yourself!

      • Loosing is a celebration of one's 21st birthday, doesn't seem aging to me

  • +1

Can we confirm there won’t be issues with the full $5 tracking if we use our current Shopback balance + other payment?

    • Worked for me. Took two hours but the $5 tracked. I purchased $50 Amazon GC today and only paid $43 from card and used $7 from my current balance from the previous 7% Amazon GC deal.

  • Bought $50 Coles gift card with St George for the 4% bonus, combined with the $5 monthly SB Plus discount but didn't fulfil the $50 spend requirement, only $45.

    • With the Cole’s gift card how does the extra 4% bonus work? Did you get sent a $52 gift card?

      • Nah you'll just get a $2 extra cashback for $50 purchase using an eligible card.

        • Okay cool thanks. I made the purchase and paid with Westpac and it says 1% cashback now so hopefully the 4% tracks later !

          • +1

@JAF: Hopefully the card was linked to your SB account prior to the purchase.

            • @DrPotato: The question is how do you use it for gift card purchase without linking it first?

              • +1

@Neoika: Apple pay if you use it. I made that mistake once.

      • Yeah as above, $0.50 + $1.80 cashback.

        • Yep just saw I now have the $5 , $2 & $0.50c all tracked. Great deal!

  • +1

would this deal stack with the coupon code PAYTOPBDD?

  • Thanks OP

  • Tracked already, thanks SB.

4781 participants already, reckon the 10k will be hit early on this one.

  • 4% Bonus Cashback (+ 1% Standard) on Coles Gift Cards (Westpac, StG, BoM, BSA) posted here.

  • Cheers bought Amazon GC. $1.25 + $5.00 so 12.5% cashback, just in time :)

  • I know there's been some comments about taking some time for the bonus to track.
But also read there's some that have tracked within minutes.

I bought some Ultimate Everyone GCs, and normal cashback have been tracked and confirmed. The challenge still says $0/$50.
Is this normal and does it take up to 12 hours to reflect even though the GCs I've bought are already tracked and confirmed?

    • Yes. Mine took an hour

      • +1

Mine tracked after 3 hours, thanks!

  • Click the link will be redirected to ShopBack homepage. Nowhere to find information for this "Spend $50 and Get $5 Bonus Cashback on Any Online Store/Gift Card".

  • +3

Love this deal but I am disappointed with shopback not offering any good deals for Amazon Prime day.
And Yes I used this deal to arbitrage my Amazon purchase and will now buy through TopCashback has they have better returns

    • Prime day hasn't finished.

  • +1

Will the cashback track if I partially pay with SB balance?

    • +1

Yes payment from balance should be OK, but not gift card promo codes that discount the payable amount.

  • Thanks OP

  • Bonus has not tracked yet, 2hr +

    • I'm on about an hour and no bonus track. I'm glad to know it's not just me :)

    • Yeah ditto with me.

Activated the challenge first, bought a 7-11 GC, the 2% tracked, but not the bonus.

      • SB Fuel > 7 Eleven

  • Shopback is not letting me pay for the gift card this round

Had to add 1 new card (due to compromised credit card) - but it says "Payment unsuccessful" and to try again in 24 hours…
Switched to my previously added debit card (which I use for St George promotions) - getting the same error (so it's an issue with Shopback's payment processor).
Cards are working fine for other transactions.

    • yeah after one failed transaction you're blocked for 24 hours.

the only way you can make use of this deal now is to buy something worth $50 for the bonus cashback

  • -3

Do we need to activate any deal before making the purchase to get the $5 offer? When I try to buy a $50 gift card, I only see $1.25 cashback.

  • +1

Purchased $50 Coles gift card with Westpac debit card. Standard 1% cashback tracked in 3 mins, $5 bonus cashback tracked in 2 hrs 13 mins, Westpac 4% bonus tracked in 2 hrs 58 mins.

    • Mine has only tracked the basic 1% back at 11:04am.
No tracking of bonus or westpac bonus cb yet either.
      Sigh.

        • -1

Clearly you didn't read Chris' comment that his has tracked, but with some delay.
          Mine has not.

Just because yours tracked doesn't mean everyone else needs to stay silent.

          • @Zippy7: Just letting you know and others who are waiting for tracking. I tagged GYB in my Coles gift card post and asked about the delay:

            Here's GYB's reply:

For others seeing a delay, no worries, sometimes tracking just takes a bit longer, but it usually sorts itself out within a few hours 😊

We’re keeping an eye on it just to be safe though 💚

  • +1

Apparently, I don't have this offer under earn more section lol

  • It’s disappeared

  • 10,000 Opt-Ins

10000 participants, so deal has ended if you didn't activate yet.
