  The game is indeed a steam game, just download the game on steam (is on open beta actually so you don't need the key to download it) and make an account through Airmech. Then just follow the instructions and when it says sign it just click sign in through steam.

Unfortunately from the looks of it, it isn't on steam. From the guidelines on the page of the deal it directs to a website and that's where you redeem the code. Sorry.
