In my experience many of these eat all you can bbq places have poor quality of meat.

Is it really all you can eat or 2 rounds only?

    • The Google reviews seem to suggest all you can eat

    • Look Mum! I'm ozbargain famous.

  • According to reviews you don’t get to choose your meat. They just give you a random assortment of meat for you to cook. And if you don’t like a particular cut then too bad. Happy to be told this isn’t true anymore.

    • Thank you for this. I’ve added this info to the post

There's very little meat in these gym mats….

  • Is this all you can eat of 2.5 plates?

    90 mins is tight.

    A sit-down in a restaurant is a conventional 2hrs min.

Have been to a couple of these korean bbq places (overseas), can’t say i really enjoyed them as they had very poor quality and fatty cuts of meats.

I have eaten at this place before. I've also been to (almost) all AYCE KBBQ in the CBD.

One thing that make this place stand out to others :
    - It's cheap, but not the cheapest. OhGam (139 Lonsdale St) is cheaper
    - They use charcoal for the grill, not gas. This is a plus IMO
    - It's not self serve so you have to finish whatever is in your plate before ordering a new one.
    - Grill change is not free. Nowhere else is this the policy

Also, their regular price (for AYCE Wagyu) is NOT $44.50, but $39.50. They advertise it as all you can eat Wagyu for $35, but each person has to buy a drink, cheapest of which is $4.50. So I find this discounted price misleading.

When I went there I was with a group of friends. They only had 1 waiter in front at anytime. Sometimes she even go and hide in the back. So when you've finished your platter and want to ask for a new one, you have to wait for someone to show up and get it for you. YMMV depends on the time/day of the week.

    • So basically this same as regular price but with a free drink…. What a bargain

    • How is the ventilation in there these days? Even before twins daddy took over that shop it was poor.

      • As a rule of thumb don't wear your best outfit when dining at KBBQ, it's gonna stink of meat. I know some places have a under seat storage for coats and bags but not everywhere

        • They do it all the time in K-dramas though! /s

Read all the reviews, it’s better to go to Bornga BBQ ( i think best bbq in Mel ) and you can ask for change the grill each time at no extra cost.

    • How much tho…?

      • +1

$28 up for a plate of meat or if your're with friends can easily run up from 116-276 for their combo meal.

Best AYCE KBBQ in Melbourne IMO is BBQ King on King St. $50 (if you pay cash) per person for 1.5 hr, they have both buffet style food + sushi and BBQ meat. Dessert and Ice cream included with this price. Paroro is a close 2nd at $55. However Paroro have Hot pot stew and seafood, and they also close earlier at 10.30pm compared to 1 am at BBQ king

    • How is it better when a plate there cost nearly the amount as a AYCE?

    • +1

Bornga is good, but its not an AYCE KBBQ. If you do go there, the price ranges from 50-70pp, depending on drinks and sides.

  • +2

There's no need to buy a drink for this offer and the 5% cash discount applies. All meat, hot food and sides are self serve. They don't do the prefilled starter tray anymore.

  • Also, if it’s your birthday, it’s free for you (min. 2 people and 1 birthday only) For the bbq in Vermont south Includes free unlimited non alcoholic drinks and the workers all speak chinese
