9/10 , I have APP2 as well as APP3. Sound is excellent and noise cancelling is excellent and far superior to my ears than APP2. great for listening to music. the only drawback is taking the APP3 off and on quickly because of the new hybrid ear tips. I prefer using APP2 for pod casts and video/voice calls where noise cancelling and quality of sound is not so critical where I can take them off and on frequently. But I have the luxury to choose I guess . If I had to choose one only obviously go for the newer and more expensive one its a worthwhile investment.
I heard the soundstage of
APP3 is fuller hence bass is not as punchy and vocals including voice for calls sound less warm and tinny than APP2.All in all would you recommend upgrading from APP2?
@FrugalNotStingy: yes I see value in upgrading from APP2, but I can understand that the APP2 is more than adequate for most people so if you can get them at discount the APP2 are still very good
I got them on Monday. Upgraded finally from the airpod 2. I reckon that these are awesome. I thought pods were pods, but I couldn't have been any more wrong. Transparency, Adaptive and Noise cancelling audio all at a simple press of the stick. Amplified hearing is incredible - I can hear things that I never knew made noise. Conversation awareness so audio goes quiet on detection of you talking. patial Audio so the sound follows your phone - great but I dont know when I'll really use it. Live Interpretation - haven't used it yet and at this stage only limited languages. Head Gestures to acknowledge siri etc. Great battery duration too. Apparently they measure heart rate whilst exercising aswell. All up, Ive never worn pods so often and for so long before. And they are comfortable in the ear as well. That was my main hesitation in buying them initially, but they aren't an issue. The longest I've worn them is probably 4hrs and they remained that comfortable that I forgot I had them in. All the different size earpieces ensures the right fit. I give them 9.5/10 - Nothings perfect.
I love mine. I find the NC is better but that's also dependent on tips that have a good fit. They do seem to be a bit more rigid (at first) given how the tips need hard plastic in the centre to connect them to the each ear bud, but mine have softened up a great deal since launch and I don't notice it any more. It's something that Apple advised customers to have a little patience with, and they were right.
Audio quality is bang on. I'm not an audiophile by any means (but I do have near perfect hearing) and the improvement in audio quality is definitely noticeable. I have a specific track I play when testing and I had both my AP2's and AP3's connected to my phone, interchanging between them and there's a significant difference between them IMO. My AP2's will be continue being used though, but mostly for meetings when WFH. AP3's are now the daily driver.
Im not too impressed with mine. Bearing in mind that I have never used any other airpods

Noise cancelling is mediocre, unless I got faulty ones. I came from using Sony WH XM3s and WF XM4s, so not new gear. And they have far better noise cancelling, especially on the plane. My APP3 also get this very annoying high pitched feedback on the plane as well. Even day to day when walking alongside a busy road, the Sonys definitely have better NC
That sounds annoying. Honestly, take em to an Apple store and have then seap em out for another set. It might just be that pair.

go to your nearest apple store and get a replacement. I got replacement airpods easily even with a slight problem
The chance that a second set wouldn't have this exact problem is close to zero. Apple isn't known for having good NC, even though this is much better than their previous attempts.
Also Apple would likely give refurbs if you complain about an issue, which is a massive downgrade.
I would rate them 9/10 too as a daily commuter. When I am on the train, I sometimes forget that I have to get off due to better ANC compared to APP 1 & Airpods 4.
I also like that the airpods don't wiggle around when I move my jaw so I can have them on while eating in loud food courts.
Worth every penny at this price for me

I had the same problem last night, saying Megabuy was not an authorised reseller which took him a while to find out.
The rep gave me the website address and time to search myself..
After I hung up I found it on the list by searching under Lawnton QLD where Megabuy's PO box is located.
So rang up again straightaway 1 min before the phone hours ended but didn't make it.
Much better luck today.

Yep success here too at $366.77. Was expecting a few hanging up/calling agains but first operator I got seemed to have gotten quite a few of these price beat requests (audible sigh after I mentioned megabuy lol) and just waved it through quickly.

Went to two stores. First one won't match because MB's ad didn't include warranty on the same page. Second did it, but included shipping fees.
I did a price beat at Officeworks Perth CBD. They had to add shipping and then price beat 5% from that. Paid AUD 393. Still not bad considering Costco has been out of stock.

wow airpods pro such a hype product on ozb who would have thought.
I know they are decent, but even this deal is so much money if you drop it and you step on it or if someone else walking by steps on it.
heard of this happen to people and they also told me replacing a single side was extremely expensive, typical for apple though.
