  • Battery life? Is samsung ever gonna release something with more then 2 days?

    • +1

I have been using this since release, easily lasts me 2 days with AOD and 2 workout sessions.

      • +1

easily lasts me 2 days with AOD and 2 workout sessions

I could never go back to that after going Garmin from Samsung Gear S3. Was such a choir to charge so frequently.

Now getting 7-10 with daily running. Happy to forgo the crappier apps on Garmin for this massive quality of life improvement (battery life). Your mileage will vary and is dependant on what you use your watch for, for me it's fitness.

        • +4

Battery life is fine for me. I don't like to sleep with it on so just put it on my bedside to charge every few days. If you never want to take it off I can see where longer battery life may be important.

          choir

          choir
          /ˈkwʌɪə/
          noun
an organized group of singers, especially one that takes part in church services or performs in public.

I agree its an inconvenience charging every couple of days, but it's a very functional watch with all the smarts you could want in a smart watch.

@eggaz: preaching to the chore, mate

        • +1

Don't know why you get down voted for speaking the truth 😂

I also came from Samsung watch. I don't have to charge my Garmin for 2-3 weeks once it's charged. Feel so liberated.

        • I use Coros so that Garmin battery life would be unacceptable haha. 3 weeks I rkn with about 200km.

        • You can get 20 days using a mi band. What's the point in saying that. Different brands different OS and features

Garmin is not running android OS from memory is it?

    • I get nearly 3 days with my Ultra 2024.

    • +2

they should just make them 2 or 3mm thicker and increase the battery capacity .. I think the benefits will outweigh a few people complaining about the thickness .. most people wouldn't care.

      • I always say the same thing about phones but here we are.

        • lol .. with phones, I am a supporter of thin and small battery as I use wireless charging everywhere .. sorry :)

      • Just hoping to strap my phone to the wrist one day

    • been using mine for quite a while now and the battery easily lasts over 2 days with quite abit of use

  • +3

Ultra 2 was this price for preorder.

    Scamsung

    • +5

Artificially inflated prices. 1 day it's RRP, the next day it's half price, the day after that, someone purchased it for 1/4 of the price with 10 different promo c o d e s.

  • +1

My Samsung Watch 5 Pro easily gets 4 days .
Need something that will match that battery life before I upgrade even though thats very tempting.

    • +1

+1, i get upto 3 days on my watch pro, this looks very big and ugly with same battery size. They have so much room to squeeze bigger battery inside

      • Agree. And it looks so much more refined, not an apple watch copy. Won't be upgrading for this

    • Agreed. I switch between Garmin and Samsung frequently (just weird choices). Got a black watch pro 5 when it came out. Recently in Italy, my Garmin cable stopped working and found a deal at a shop where Watch 5 pro titanium was cheaper than the Garmin cable!! Love the battery life for a smart watch and Titanium looks classy with a brown leather strap. Samsung just needs to fix EnergyScore to match Garmin Body Battery.

    That is one ugly watch

  • The health tracking on this is pretty piss poor. Look up quantified scientist on youtube. Its one of the worse if not the worst

    • Yep, the Pixel Watch is way better if you care about accuracy. He rates the PW4 the first true AWU contender.

      • +2

I just wish they'd make a more rugged version of the PW… I've been rocking pixel phones for years but much prefer the look of the galaxy watches, not a huge fan of the "pebble" style pixel watches have stuck with personally.

        • +1

IKR? My exact thoughts. I can't understand why they haven't made a Pro version yet. They have Pro Phones and Ear Buds, so why not Watches? I'm happy with my PW2, but I'm starting to get bored with the Pebble design.

        • Yeah I'm looking at the OnePlus watch or Huawei GT 6 for the designs over pixel watch but OnePlus can't keep up with sport tracking accuracy and while the Huawei can somewhat compare it's not really smart watch more a Garmin competitor. But the pixel design just doesn't do it for me (ignoring the whole battery life aspect)

Fancy Tech, but its like having one of those old mobile brick phones, no not the ones of the 1990's the ones of 1970's

Ill leave this photo here …

  • i have the 5 ultra and yeah i just can't recommend samsung watches to anyone, the software is shit house and it runs shit. idk if apple watches are better but i assume they probably are

  • Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

Samsung Product Team: "We want a square watch, but make it round so it's got much less screen real estate. Do it for the lols."
Samsung Design Team: "Hold my beer…"

    • Just make sure it doesn't look like the Apple Watch Ultra.
      Copy Apple? Got it.

    • square would be so much better!!
