Saw the other baby carrier postings lately and did some searching and found this one. It can be used to carry a baby in 3 positions - front/hip/back - up to about 20kg, so it's quite versatile and it's also 100% cotton.
It gets good reviews on both Amazon and ProductReview.com.au (http://www.productreview.com.au/p/ergobaby-organic.html). Local retailers seems to price these at about $180 from a quick Google search.

You have to click on the "Amazon.com" option in the "More Buying Choices" panel on the right hand side to get it delivered to Australia. The green one is the cheapest at $84.06 USD, brown one and blue one are about $10 and $15 more expensive respectively. Shipping was around $11 USD to Sydney for me, there was an automatic discount of about $5 when I checked out.

    I hear that up to 10% of the weight off cotton products is pesticides. Something to consider when using on a new baby as the vast majority of all produced in the world end up on just one crop, conventionally grown cotton.

      I'm fairly certain this is (and I'm deliberately phrasing this in the politest way I know how) I complete load of rubbish. What is true is that cotton production accounts for approximately 10% of the worldwide use of pesticides. This doesn't mean that 100g of every kilo of 'conventional' cotton is poison.

      Original link is to manufacturers so that one is definitely legit, the one that posts to aus is sold by amazon so very unlikely its a fake.

      I've actually bought and received this item from Amazon. I contacted customer service on the rip-offs issue and they guaranteed that all items sold from the "seller=Amazon.com" are genuine. The forum reviews did mention a few dud sellers and the customer service rep assured that they were taking action to investigate these guys (which I could see, as within 1 day this product had been removed from the offending sellers).

      One easy way is to enable AmazonGlobal shipping, which almost always restricts/defaults the seller to Amazon…

    Strange. Followed instructions above to the letter (wife was making me re-try!) and it worked the fourth time round. No idea when it'll be shipped though as it's still out of stock.
