Scuba S1 Pro was a total crap.

Was also $800 at one time
      This seems vastly overpriced

  • Serious question, how much is the replacement battery?

    • +1

It doesn't matter because it'll never last that long

Desperately waiting for China to flood the market like they did with robo-vacs. Everything in this space is overpriced.

    • Robovacs are easy compared to a pool robovacs. So far Aiper hasn't been able to get these to be water proof - they start failing in under year.

  • I have not heard good things, they do a heap of paid reviews by boomers to boomers on Facebook.

    • Thats just how the Internet is. you need to look at peoples profiles and post history to see if they are a real consumer or a sock puppet.

  • Should have added, I was about to get a dolphin corded, but then decided to try another wireless brand - Beatbot and it was great. It seems that it is not quite as powerful and swift as wired dolphins but does the job.

I have the S1 Pro which I bought during last year's black Friday for $875 and it has been great. Suction power and pool coverage are great. I feel the battery is starting to drain slightly faster but overall very happy with it. Definitely worth the $900 but very overpriced at $1700

Interesting. mine was just entirely random with coverage and was unable to climb walls. Left pool very dirty each time regardless of the time spent in the pool.
One downside is that you needed to fish it out with a hook every time it finished or got stuck (which it did a lot) and I thought all robots are like that, but Beatbot flows to the top and it is so great.

Do NOT buy any aiper or any other cordless pool cleaner at this price. I have an Aiper S1 and it works randomly just like the Dolphin I had before did. By which I mean these things do not map and clean like above water robovacs..they seem to have a weird movement pattern built in which is very random and quite understandable given how things work under water. But that also means they will miss out on a lot of things lying on the floor of your pool no matter which product you buy. The difference in performance that I found was that the Dolphin would pick up flocculant debris but the S1 does not . Both would randomly miss a lot. The Dolphin however being corded could be left in the pool to run while on holidays , the S1 is a one run device then needs recharging. I bought the Dolphin used and the S1 brand new because it was half the price of a Dolphin on Black Friday sales. I had the Dolphin for almost 10 years and in that time I had to replace a few parts which were expensive for what they were but available and I have had the S1 for 2 years now never opened it because it is still early but I do not see any parts on the website. Being wireless is a definite advantage but the Maytronic pool cleaners are better built and spares are plenty if you can justify the price they charge. Hope that helps someone looking at pool cleaners.. but an Aiper at this price is a joke ..clean modes on the app are a gimmick as are the cleaning modes

  • I saw that Costco has the E1 model for $399.99, so I just ordered one online since they have a good return policy. I'm going to see if it's any good. If anyone else needs a basic model, you might want to check it out at Costco too.

Have had a wybot for a year no issues, $669
    https://www.amazon.com.au/WYBOT-Cordless-Waterline-Cleaning-…

  • Had the Scuba S1 - was awful, picked up big leaves but that was kind of it.

Switched to the bottom of the range Dolphin with the finer basket and my pool has never been cleaner and never looked better.

  • Why do you even spend on this thing?

  • I have the Scuba S1 Pro

It lasted about 2 months before it had water damage in its circuitry and stopped working. Warranty was good and took it back, replaced with an outright new unit.

Replacement unit so far is hanging in there - it does the job and works but I can tell it's going to fail again from water damage. Were 9 months in.

The control panel isnt working with lights flickering - it's only usable because I'm not switching modes on it and have kept it powered/working at all times.

I take good care of it. Leave it in the water only when its working and take it out ASAP, rinse it off and dry it. Stored in a garage away from the elements.
