Sora 2 has been hitting headlines lately for the insane videos it's been producing. Currently it's only available for people in the US or Canada with an invite code, but it can be obtained with a VPN.

  • Activate your VPN and connect to a server in the United States or Canada . This is required every time you want to use the app.
  • I.e. Windscribe for free
  • For Mobile: To use the Sora app on your phone (iOS), you may need to temporarily change your Apple ID country to the US or Canada or create a new account in these region

Login & Use Code:

  • Go to the Sora website or open the app and log in with your existing OpenAI/ChatGPT account.
  • Enter the code MMFREE in the invitation field.

Important:

The code is currently available to everyone, but it's possible they'll disable it. Every user with access will also receive a code to share that can be used six times.

        Ask ChatGPT or if you are like me all you need to do is the following:

        1. Power Down: Close your eyes and say, "Initiating power-down sequence. Entering standby mode."
        2. Pause: Remain silent for 10 seconds. If the issue persists, extend the recalibration period by keeping your eyes closed for 6-8 hours (recommended for optimal system recovery).
        3. Restart: Open your eyes and say, "System reboot complete. All systems are now fully operational."
        4. Lubrication: After restart, ensure proper maintenance. Use only approved lubricants or fluids compatible with your system. Avoid unknown or unsafe liquids to prevent further malfunction
        5. Find partner robot, preferably one that has already rebooted and has completed the lubrication step.

    As for "insane videos" - all I've seen is a few blurry 30 second clips on Instagram. Eg. A guy waking up and scaring off a black bear.

    This screams of last-minute desperation.
    OpenAI’s been rapidly losing money and can’t make itself profitable, and yet it’s still engaged in incestuous AI investments, so it needs to do SOMETHING to become profitable.
    I just don’t know if Sora AI is the way to become profitable (unless they can convince advertisers to pay them for ads).

      I'm sure the film industry is crapping the bed, while looking at ways they can produce content for less. Some of the south park episodes made with this before the ban are pretty good.

      AI generated ads are already very much a thing, and it's way cheaper and faster than paying a firm to create an ad for you. I think theres a commercial future in ai generation for office tasks and admin. AI will be used for video editing in special effects on blockbusters. The general public won't be giving ai companies money
