Portable Drill Guide for use Almost Anywhere

With the Milescraft DrillMate portable drill stand, you can drill straight holes, angled holes, on the edge of a board or even round stock. Everyone knows that the success of many DIY projects depends on drilling straight and accurate holes. Now you can add a whole new level of accuracy with this drill guide jig when drilling holes with your standard hand drill.

  • Solid aluminum head with easy-glide bushings allow for smooth operation
  • Double ball bearings create smooth, accurate drilling
  • Set drilling angles to 45°, 60°, 75° and 90°
  • Self-Centering V-Grooves allow for drilling of round stock
  • Bottom of jig is self-centering
  • Non-slip rubber feet prevent marring of your workpiece and can be removed to mount DrillMate to your work surface
  • Adjustable stop collar speeds up repetitive drilling

If you open reviews section, there is Tristan from Australia who probably first was super confused why tf he received a press juicer instead of a drill stand, but this champ gave it 5-star rating because he’s "very happy with the juicer and would recommend it”.

    • LMAO I saw Tristans review. Clearly for another product. He must be a product review mule, doing multiple reviews daily.

      • Loads of reviews are for a juicer.

Could be a genuine mistake but amazon reviews are 'interesting' IMHO. Many can just be bought en masse via marketing companies. You can even pay extra for verified reviews.

          • @Naigrabzo: i thought they probably just changed the listing from a juicer to a drill guide? once they get enough good reviews for the juicer, or is that not possible on amazon?

  • Seems to be sold out.

I missed by a few minutes.

I didn't even know I needed one until I saw this post, but now I want one really badly! hahahah

  • Ozbargained!;;

This feels pretty cheap and awkward to use IMO (and has a small chuck from memory). I don't think the idea is bad, just that this particular implementation of a portable drill press is a bit rubbish. I ended up ditching mine.

    • +1

Would be recyclable hopefully. Lot of metal on this.

    • The pro version looks much nicer, especially with the edge guide, and it has a 13mm chuck vs the 10mm chuck in the standard, but it is also $250ish (plus the guide).
for $25 this is a steal! it does have inserts for the guides if you need more precision, but I found they were not really needed with timber using bradpoint bits.

I bought mine to build a couple of displayboards that needed 80ish holes to install threaded inserts in, worked a treat! And as a bonus i have a drill press when I need it!

I think for the price it's very fair. I just found that for the exact things I needed it for (precision drilling of larger holes on big work pieces) it was worse than just doing it by hand with a temporary custom drill guide.

  • Damn it, I was about to buy it and it got ozbargained. I put it in my cart and went to find other things to buy.

You last purchased this item on 29 Aug 2021.

Ha. Well there you go. Still haven't gotten around to using it either. :/

  • My wife is a fan of this
