    Sorry, how much?!

  • +13

I'm old and confused..The hell is the difference?

    • "Changeable stick caps, remappable inputs and custom settings"

      • +17

Yeah but for 3 or 4 times the price? Wow.

        • too bad you cant just replace the Joysticks for stick drift..
.. funny enough on replacing the joystick in a Dual Sense Controller as i see this post

    • +3

When it dies after your 15th loss in Fifa, it will cost you a lot more to replace

    • It's literally in the name? It gives you an edge over those without it

    • About $200 from the standard controller.

  • +3

    Just for a controller?!

  • +4

buy TMR controllers they wont get stick drift

  • +1

    O.O!

  • +9

    This will never make sense.

    Somehow I still want it….

    • +30

      But it does make DualSense

      • +3

Alright.. you got me, have a like

      • -1

        DualSense makes sense

  • +9

And what's ridiculous to me, these arent even hall effrct sticks, right?

My old xbox controllers have mapping etc.. this is such a crazy cash grab. Half a console price, for essentially a ps5 controller with better 50c joystick rubber.

    • +1

Correct, you still get to experience drift.

  • Good one Sony, you make us laugh

    Oh you're serious….

    • They cooked Xbox so they can do what they want now

  • +4

    Nah I am good thanks

  • Not worth it now, I bought 2.5 years ago for $270

    • Yeah these were $250 at Big W for a few months over the new year

  • Can buy two controllers for that price …

    • +3

      or four when on sale….

  • +6

I recalled paying less for the whole PS3 console + controller in an OzB deal than this controller alone.
People who buy these have too much money and DullSense.

  • +1

Wtf, why is this so expensive

  • -5

You get free stick drift with this deluxe controller, courtesy of Sony and the Girlboss of Yotei

  • Wondering if these will go up in price in 20 years if I keep it in the packaging

    • +1

0% chance it beats inflation over that time.

Sony has always priced its products beyond reach of the average Aussie consumer with more of a pro level price. But this, along with their new keyboard and mouse and their Xperia phones have essentially priced them into the custom market.

This is why Sony sadly cannot outsell the rubbish products from Samsung and LG. Its like the last Japanese brand standing yet still screwing around and losing market share to the Koreans

    • +5

What the heck are you talking about.

    • -1

You dont have a clue if you think Samsung and LG are rubbish, TV's, phones? Even smsung soundbars are better than Sony.

      • And yet Sony has the best, for example, tv upscaling by far.

And (don't know if they still do) small phones.

        Cameras.. yep.

Controllers.. yep (sure, it's an opinion, but I much prefer their tech and don't like the Xbox layout)

Sometimes you want a Sony because they are by far the best at something that is important to you and can't get one coz they're dicking around instead of having good market penetration.

Shame they are also immoral jerks

Coming from the Xbox Elite controller, I had to get this controller when it first came out and paid the eye watering price of $330. If you play often and like FPS / competitive games, it will give you an advantage. This price is the lowest I've ever seen it. I like it because of the 2 back paddles but I wish they had 4 like the Xbox Elite controller. The controller is built well and is sturdy and you won't experience stick shift.

    • I miss the days when I could justify that kind of purchase. Can't even bring myself to upgrade my AirPods nowadays.

    • I have one but don't feel it's that much of an advantage, at least how I've tried so far.

Like what would you map it for in b6

  • -1

If you don't want to spend money on an edge grab an extremerate kit

  • Battery capacity of this is around 2/3 of a regular dualsense controller (which battery capacity is already weak).

I can't imagine spending this much when it would struggle with a longer session

  • Back to $299

  • Will this help me to git gud? Or will I still suck, but ~expensively~?

  • Just came for the lols. Rather buy the smashed avocado thanks.

  • I wish it had 4 paddles instead of just 2 and Hall effect sticks but it is what it is, extra paddles are needed to be competitive against keyboard and mouse players who have a clear advantage. I have the edge already and I’m on my second set of stick modules and whilst it’s not perfect it’s better than the standard dual sense. HexGaming have a 4 paddle version with Hall effect sticks which is around $250 usd plus shipping so for a pro controller the edge isn’t priced to badly in comparison.

  • Gulikit have new models coming with similar stick layout (TT Max, TT Pro)

cheaper and better in every way.
