I visit many meat wholesalers in Sydney some half the price of the supermarket/butchers meats this one works out a little bit cheaper but is by far my favorite.

  • Still pricey, but really depends on how good the meat tastes.

    I've had grain fed beef from different suppliers and they both tasted very different but cost the same.

    It seems these are more or less their regular prices.

    On another note do you have to buy a whole piece of meat or do they also do you a single steak if that's what you're after?

    • they supply both single steak like in the supermarket and will cut it there for you if you choose to buy a big whole piece.

  • Sydney has some expensive meat..

    • this is gourmet meat you could head round the corner and get it half the price from another place 5.99kg for mince 16.99kg for scotch fillet but this is a supermarket wholesaler (Aldi) so supermarket quality (still some of the best in the world) which is fine but if you eat well and know good meat you can't go back to normal stuff.

    Can we call "grain fed" what it is - feedlot cattle. Along with the grain the cattle are also fed a diet of hormones to promote growth, and antibiotics to prevent disease. It's not a good last few months for the animal. I appreciate we need to feed the world but we can do without the industry spin.

      I personally only eat grassfed meat for this reason it's impact on health is amazing seems a small amount of people are slowly catching on to the grass fed meat movement. Fortunately wrights offers grassfed+grain fed beef and they have advised me there lamb is grassfed.

  • OP how does this compare to Vics meat?

    • Haven't tried Vic's because they don't offer grassfed meat and i only eat grassfed but they are better than Havericks (round the corner from vic's) in quality and havericks is A grade they wholesale to Qantas 1st class.
