Not as good as Lobster stuffed with Tacos

Dont waste your $. Although southern rock lobster is expensive, it tastes ridiculously good.

I've had them and they have a really nasty taste masked by under all that garlic butter that comes out in the aftertaste. I don't know if it's because the lobsters themselves aren't fresh or they've picked up the smells in the manufacturing environment, but one time was enough for me.

factory farming will do that

It is pretty nasty compared to our fresh lobsters!

I wish Pinchy were here to enjoy this
Oh god that’s tasty
sobs

From Brazil no thanks.

Is that the name of the new James Bond movie?

No that was from Brazil with love .

The plain clothes cop who loved me.

I like clams Brazilian…not my lobster!

Any one notice that fresh lobsters are well above $150 per kilo now, was around $120 during covid, even $100 some time. May be one of the reasons that Lobster cave went into administration.

It was trade and China - they stopped taking our lobster for a bit. Now they're taking it again, so price went back up.
Apparently we were "dumping lobster" on China to make local production uncompetitive or something…because that's legit lol.

"dumped our world class Tasmanian lobsters in china"
you know some smooth brains would believe that
kinda like how china pays the tariffs /s

Unfortunately the smooth brains are running the country.

It's tit for tat. Australia and USA were accusing Huawei of embedding spyware inside their infrastructure products which also never turned up with any substantial proof.

Naa lobster was a part of the covid thing. Along with the beef, barley, etc.

It was for scomo basically kissing trumps ass and insulting china over the course of covid investigation thing

Our wild caught lobsters are freshly harvested from the tropical waters of Brazil, a region recognised for producing plump and delicious lobster varieties.
This is almost impressive in how misleading it is. Freshly harvested then processed and frozen, and they don't mention that these are plump and delicious, only that there are varieties from Brazil that are.

Spin doctors at Aldi are working overtimes.
I’ll pass - we had them once and they tasted weird.
We have world top sea food in Aus - why import frozen crap from Brazil?

We have world top sea food in Aus
How much? Any bargain?

Because most of us can't afford them !
I worked in a seafood processing plant in Brisbane as my first job and the beautiful seafoods our fishermen caught were of superb quality but they were ALL for exports as they can take huge amount with a high pricetag, why bother with the local market which was dwarfed by what they could sell and profit from overseas !!! Back in those days I saw beautiful large red spot prawns (I reckon it's the bset tasting prawns), King prawns, Leader and Tiger prawns which only the leftover stock got sold to a handful of local seafood retailers. Decades past and we have industries relying primarily on overseas markets and ignore the locals. How often do you see the above prawns in our local shops and in the rare time they do sell them, can you seriously afford them ?? Things didn't change much in Australia.

Forget Lobster once it's frozen….even more so from Brasil.
It's criminal how we can export our best to China.
you realise all our top tier produce goes to china, whether that's lobsters, cherries, beef, lamb, etc
the Chinese will pay what we wont

yeah, need to do something so that china is angry with australia and doesn’t take our produce so its cheaper for locals, “australia recognises taiwan as a separate country”, not sure how effective that will be, JD Vance calls them peasants and they ask “usa, how high do you want us peasants to jump”.

We send them $800m in lobsters and they send us $800m in big screen tvs

we already send them $103B in WA dirt, i so want to be able eat affordable lobster while watching my big screen TV.

Sweet, sweet never ending US debt.
They couldn't spend "all the money in China" if they wanted to.
Like literally it would be impossible to spend what the US owes China. There isn't enough ore or Oysters in the world!

Noice. 👍

buy local moreton bay bugs from your local fisherman instead of this and you wont regret it

Anyone see these today? Cos I couldn't.

None at top Ryde at 4:30pm

The first Aldi was sold out, but found them at the second store.

Anyone had these? any good?
