ADADBHS

I've already received an email from the hackers:

To: 30year old Camry,
We have hacked your Ansell account and know your dirty little secret. We know that you purchase One size XXXS condom per year. You must pay us $10,000 in btc or we will tell all your friends.

What should I do?

    What should I do?

Immediately buy these and screenshot purchase to hacker.

    • I say DO NOTHING

  • +2

    Pay them

    • Yeap, you don't anyone to know that you purchase One size XXXS condom per year.

  • +9

Send them a link to this thread, showing that you're one step ahead of them and that you have let the wider community know that you're a user of XXXS condoms to demonstrate that you do not care. I bet their ransom will dramatically drop in value

    ADADBHS

    Sounds more like ADASCHS.

  • +2

reply: i might have a very small glove size, but i'm still proud of it

  • Thanks… one less thing you need to tell your mates (that to be honest probably think that anyway lol)

  • +4

Send them a thank you note to remind you that it is that time of year again to buy another one? Also, ask if they charge extra to brag about it all your friends.

  • +2

My friends are environmentalists, they will be very proud that I am into recycling.

  • I don't get it. I have bought Ansell gloves before. but never made an account, entered by information or received any contact from them.

do you mean somehow the supermarket I bought it from, gave my details to them and now they are leaked?

    • That’s EXACTLY what he means.

    Approved

    • +1

I still have no idea what this means.

      • +5

Approved usually means that it is accepted for use and that it is correct at the time. Or it is used to let someone know that what they are doing or want to do Is sanctioned by the appropriate authority…

Can’t believe that you have gone through life for this long and still didn’t know what “approved” means.

        • no not just the approved part.

but I don't get both ADADBHS and approved. someone spelled it out to me before but I forgot, and they keep switching the letters around I swear everytime I see it it's a different combo as if just mashing the keyboard like ADAGKJGDHS. I don't think "approved" just means wht it says in the dictionary, there is some hidden inner ozb circle meaning.

Another day another data breach horror story

        • Another day another data breach horror story

          A little light reading

One that may impact people here

        • ok thank you. but it seems like they create a new one for whatever they see.

if you take it literally at face value, it's just a bunch of random letters and another user commenting approved. which is not very helpful to anyone who doesn't understand it.

          • @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm: yes, new ones are created each time for "approval"

The most commonly used one is "another day another cash back horror story". it is generally only a couple of words that change.
It has become a bit of a running joke, and the 'approver' approves the new acronym each time. it is a bit of a novelty for me to try and work out what the acronym is each time.

  • Does it work the other way around?

  • +1

Don't sweat, your friends already know.

  • +3

Bet now you wished you bought a pair of rubber gloves and some scissors. Would have been set for 10 years.

  • +3

OP can ignore the email as he can tell it is a fake because he has no friends…

  • +2

My wife says it means Xtra Sexy

  • +2

I got the same message, my Ozbargain friends will mock me for spending that much when they know I need zero

  • +6

Why do you need one every single year? What are you doing with them? Stockpiling them?

    • +1

Maybe OP isn't married? And this whole thread is just a humble brag.

  • +2

So the hacker will know that I need magnum condoms for my monster dong, so what.

  • +1

    It’s me. I’m the hacker.

Pay up or I’ll also disclose the other half of your purchase, the 25 litres of extra slippery lube.

    • I’m safe. A friend of mine however would like to talk if the following were made on the same purchase: Johnson and Johnson baby oil, a 100ml bottle of Unforgivable, and the song I’ll be missing you

  • Just ignore it. They got your email from data leak and trying all kinds of stuff. Sometimes they come with passwords from 10 years ago. Now I have site specific passwords so I know where the data leak came from therefore can match up when it was hacked and only site specific don't have to go and change across sites.

  • To: 30year old Camry,

They also know your OzB username ?

  • It's obviously fake since Ansell make an even smaller size.

  • Tell your friends for free, then since you done their work for them already, invoice the hackers for $10K for the work performed.

  • One a year … ?
