ME Bank Issue with Bonus Interest Rate

I hope you’re doing well.

I’m currently experiencing an issue with my MeBank bonus interest. I opened a SpendMe and HomeMe account in September and transferred my savings to the account.

At the beginning of Oct, I received some extra interest in my HomeMe account. However, after transferring $2,000 to SpendMe from another bank to my HomeMe account, the bonus interest stopped showing (showing 0.00%). I contacted the support team, and they lodged an IT ticket about a week ago.

Since then, I haven’t received any updates, and when I followed up, they were unable to provide an ETA for resolution.

Have you experienced a similar issue? If so, how long did it take for MeBank to fix it?
Do you think I should consider transferring my funds elsewhere?

I’d appreciate your advice.

    With home ME, interest for a month is paid on the 1st of the next month. (For tax purposes, interest for June, paid on 1st July, counts towards the previous year.)

    As you opened the account in September, you will get the full bonus rate for September, paid on 1st October.

    To get the full bonus rate for October, to be paid on 1st November, you needed to send $2000 into spend ME during September. Did you do this?

    If you did, it doesn't really matter what rate is showing, as long as they pay you correctly, which you won't find out until 2 weeks from now.

    One of the problems with the ME app is that it follows the time zone of your phone. So if you go to Canada for example then most of your historical transactions will show up with the wrong date unless you keep your phone set to an Aus time zone. If this applies to you you need to be very careful about when you do the monthly hoops.

    Same here. Opened account and transferred $2000+ into Spend Me in September. Got the bonus interest on the 1st of October. App now shows 0.00% bonus rate. Lodged an IT ticket as well but nothing so far.

    Yes a heap of us had this issue in one of the threads when we all opened a ME Bank account after ubank dropped their rates. For the entirety of the second month the interest rate and interest rate earned to date showed incorrectly on the app. A few people logged it with IT.

    I was paid correctly and didn't need to chase anything up. It has shown correctly since for me, and based on comments from other users it is a glitch for everyone for the second month only.

    So I wouldn't stress about it, just check in at the end of the month
