wondering how important is the suction. This one only has 7000pa. I have seen higher suction for cheaper prices.

• From what I'm reading not very important unless you have very thick carpets/rugs. I can let you know in a week :P

• different thoght. Just bought Qrevo C, suction of 12kPa, it's day and night difference to popular/cheap Lubluelu 4.5kPa

• +1

if its hardfloor, even 3000pa is more than enough
for carpets / rugs, I don't think 7000pa vs 10000pa will make much differences too

• -1

have you taken into the account the dirty filter? If 7000pa is the best number achieved with a brand new filter, it will be like 3000pa after couple of vacuum runs.

• I wish I knew this earlier. I have Roborock S7 rated 2700pa, and upgraded to Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni rated at 18000pa. I have a corgi that supplies plenty of stuff to pick up. On the hardfloor, I don't really detect any difference. I thought I was going to get rid of the Roborock S7, but for a number of reasons, it ended up going back. S7 runs daily to pick up dust and hair, and Ecovacs runs only once a week to mop the floors. For two of the bedrooms, I don't have robots going in (tangle dangers), and I just hand vacuum those rooms.

I am not sure how to interpret the suction. Do they standardise the size of the port where the suction is measured? For instance, you could suck the same volume of air through a pin hole and get an immense kPa rating with very little actual suction.

The better measurement would be the volume of air moved per unit time (m^3/minute for example) as at least then that is standardised and comparable between companies.

• If you check out the Vacuum Wars website he shows in multiple tests that suction power does not necessarily equate with debris pick up.

Bought this a while ago for $1200 and love it. The extended mop function is really useful. Camera is gimmicky but has been useful at times when it lands in a no-go zone so I can remotely view and move it.

• +5

I bought this when it released, paid around $1800 . I use it everyday and it just works . I had a ecovacs before and having issues after issues, so had to return it. At this price, it's a great buy.

• Good to hear. I was sitting on the fence and just pulled the trigger this morning.

• I second this, run it daily and seems to be fine.

Does go walkabout from time to time though

• How is it with obstacle avoidance? Like if I just have it free reign, would it avoid eating cables and socks and the like?

• Latest ones these days have 20000 pa compared to 7000pa

• dammit. i got this for $999
compared to my roborock s50, this is much quieter. i'm on hardfloors so i dont care much for suction.

• Bought this for $1500 and absolutely love it, not sure how much 7000pa v 10000pa+ compares for more current models

Learning towards the Qrevo C, it has 12kPA but mainly for the DuoDivide Brush is apparently best for hair

• +1

Or just replace the brush with the tri-cut brush

• There's a tri-cut brush for Roborock? Where can I find?

• +2

Had the C for a month now. Zero hair tangles in that time. It also was able to climb a 2.2cm threshold. I'm impressed with it. More so for the scheduling and being able to be selective on which rooms to clean when. I find it very quite and am able to run it early in the morning when people are asleep.

• Is the C better than this model?

• +2

Of course. C is a 2025 model. MaxV is a 2023 discounted model

• does this has auto water exchange module?

• Any suggestions, besides emptying it out after each clean, to reduce the smell from the dirty water tank?

• +6

i add a splash of vinegar in the empty tank

• +2

I put a splash of antibacterial mouthwash in the dirty tank for that minty fresh feeling. Jokes aside, it works!! :)

• A bit of eucalyptus solution or floor cleaner with some water helps.

I use a bit of vinegar in the clean water tank sometimes

• I use a touch of bleach, will this degrade the parts in the dirty water side?

• Does this model support Matter?

• Wow the price for this has fallen so fast..

• +1

kinda hurts.. bought it earlier this year for $1200.

• +1

Discounted 2 years old model with low specs. Not a bargain. Get a Qrevo C.

• +1

Other than suction, what egde does Qreco C has over Maxv or L?

• From what I can tell it has dual brushes instead of a singles for less hair tangling. I believe the MaxV has hot water mop washing and a camera to help with obstacle avoidance (I can't find anything a camera on the Qrevo C mentioned anywhere)

• -2

Nearly pulled the trigger on this Robot Vacuum

I didn't realise they came with a trigger.

• +3

For anyone looking, I bought a Qrevo L last week for $679 and the basic differences between the two are -

• Qrevo L 10 kPa vs Qrevo MaxV 7 kPa suction
• Qrevo L (Cold Mop washing and cold air drying) vs Qrevo Maxv (Hot water mop washing and hot air drying) so Maxv will be consuming more energy and I have not found if hot water/hot air is better than cold water/cold air
• Qrevo L does not have the mop extension but Maxv does.. based on reviews it is a good add on as can clean edges and corners better but is it $170 better, I dont know.
• Qrevo L does not have the camera by Maxv does.. I dont think it is a biggie.

Cold water wash -> greasy mops -> sticky floors
Cold air dry -> damp, moldy mop pads -> odorous floors
No camera -> random stuff jammed under the brush everyday.

If the house is neat, grease free and few dusts -> no need a robot.

• +1

I have never had to wash my non-robotic mop with hot water (unless if the mop pads are being machine washed) and never had to dry it with hot air either.. and surprisingly I have never had those problems you have listed. And for a fact, I dont know any of my friends and families who wash their mops with hot water and dry with hot air.

It is worth noting that most houses do not keep their bbq inside and are not operating a grill directly on the floor.. the robot is ofcourse not capable of climbing the kichen shelf and even if it was, it doesnt have hot water mopping.

No camera -> random stuff jammed under the brush everyday.

Sorry, I dont see a relationship with the two. The bot has an anti tangle technology and a world leading "obstacle avoidance" and if they arent doing what they say, then it is a different problem that a camera can not solve.

• I'm pretty sure the Qrevo C doesn't have a camera either

• you are absolutely right! Then dreame L40 Ultra seems to be a lot better choice. It was on sale for $899 last week. Wait till next month’s Black Friday.

• Got the roborock Qrevo L Robot Vacuum and Mop for $700 during Prime sale. Was it $679?

• +1

Qrevo C is $899 on roborock website atm, surely a better deal

• +1

I am new to the world of robot vacs, as a toe tester I purchased this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/921818 (which BTW is still available @ $399) the product is amazing - far exceeding my expectations.

So good I was thinking of getting a 2nd unit for upstairs.

Help me understand why I would want to pay double or triple for a "better" unit. Is the unit in this deal twice as good? Or is it the case of pay double the amount get something 10-20% better ?

• +1

The $400 doesn't do real mopping. It just a wet pad that wipes the floor as it pass.
The $800 ones have 2 spinning mop pads and does a better mopping job IMO. The water tank is also larger and has clean and dirty water compartment and it washes and drys the pad automatically.

I have both, the $800 does a much better job, but is it worth double the price? Depends on how much extra you want to pay for a premium product

• I sense a Botwar :-) Tapo recently halved the price of their RV30Max from $799 to $399. I'm going to hold off buying one for the moment. Prices are being cut across the board. So many companies now battling for supremacy. Whose Bot will emerge supreme?
