Apple iPad Air 11 Inch (2025) M3 256GB for $919.99
That is supposed to be $210 off the standard Costco price

Only available in Blue or Purple.
Costco online standard price is claimed to be $1129.99

Seems to be a free upgrade from 128gb to 256gb from an educational price perspective.
There is/was an officeworks deal for the 128gb model, but out of stock in my local stores, and not available online for me.

Deal ends 29 October.

  • waiting for Ipad no-air to drop to $450 like in April T_T

    • Best price I've seen for an A16 is $499 from Costco. That was a few months ago, best price I have seen recently is $519 also from Costco.

  • Something is happening. Seems like apples dropping price on the airs for all retailers. The 128gb wifi 11 also $747 at jb now as well. This normal for a 6month old apple device?

I think this is to clear more stock before the yearly M5 refresh in 2026.

  • Keep hoping for a 13” air or pro deal in older models with the release of the m5

    • There are deals on the 13" M3 Air.

  • Is this wifi only?

For $1390 you can get a new 11” M5 from Apple AOC store after GST back.
    Have one coming.

Wair for M4 iPad pro clearance

    • How do you get the GST back?

      • +1

By performing tax fraud via the TRS. There seems to be a pretty big culture on here of people loading their bags with stuff they buy domestically. Using the Tourist Refund Scheme to have the GST returned to them, then bringing it back into the country and neglecting to declare they are bringing it back.

They should scrap the whole program. It’s not like Australia makes anything to justify running the scheme.

        • There is a $900 GST-free threshold when bringing things back ($450 if below 18 years old). If travelling with family, everyone's threshold gets pooled together on return (e.g. pooled threshold for 2 adults, 2 kids is $2.7k).

Also if the item is used, I believe GST is based on its secondhand value. So it's fairly easy to stay within that threshold.

          • @prophet: What if you just went overseas and are already back. Still can do this?

            • @specwarop: You need to purchase the item within 60 days before leaving the country and make the claim at the airport right before your flight. And you need to physically show them the item you're claiming. See here.

May be too late for you unless you plan to fly out again before that 60 day limit.

Minimum claim amount is $300, though you can pool multiple invoices together if they're all from the same retailer. Also if the item is over $1k, the invoice needs to include your name and the retailer's ABN.

    • Apples pricing is really frustrating (working as intended). It's like the MacBooks where you pay a couple hundred more you get the pro, then a bit more you get the pro with more core and then since already paying that much why not just a bit more and go for the max. Really gets you there.

    • By that logic, this iPad Air M5 is only $836 after GST back, which is a fantastic deal.

And $1390 is $554 (66%) more expensive than $836. It's a big jump. You could get an entry level iPad or Apple Watch with that difference.
