    Miele

    • OP said they have a budget of up to $1,000. Miele doesn't sell an oven that's within their budget.

        I didn't check their current prices…

      • Agreed, now recall my low-end B stock 60cm pyro was $1,700 a year ago; starting prices are now well over $2K. The stretch can certainly pay off, but I'm not sure about ovens.

    can recommend Bosch.

You'd want a European oven. (same with a dishwasher).

Rangehood & stovetop, get an Asian brand.

      😲

      • Whats the Bosch warranty?

Ikea offers 5 years on thier ovens

        Hard to beat

        • Whats the Bosch warranty?

No idea, we have miele appliances

Second the Bosch range. Way better than those 3 you listed and its only $200 more.

    Get this: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/bosch-series-6-60cm-pyrolytic…

    it also has pyrolytic cleaning.

When person put a budget, someone comes and say $200 more lol

      • if the 3 options the OP has suggested are subpar, its more useful to provide better alternatives.

Also, you dont buy ovens every year so for +10 years of use, a $200 increase to budget can be justified.

Better is subjective, under $1000 ovens are fine. Why stopping at $200.. why not add $2000 more? Not that you going to upgrade it every two years? Hence there is a budget 😉

    • also, its cheaper here and they give you $80 gift card. it also has an air fry function

    I own a Bosch 8 series.

I also bought a Beko free standing cooker for my family member at a really good price.

The quality surprised me for a cheap cooker. It had telescopic shelves while my top of the line Bosch doesn't.

The Beko 60cm Built-In Oven with Airfry-SteamAssist & Pyrolytic Cleaning BBO6851PSDX looks decent and also has telescopic shelves.
With a 5 year warranty, I wouldn't hesitate to give the Beko a try. At $825 it's about half the price of my Bosch.

  • When I was last looking for a new stove I checked in with our appliance repairman - Euromaid was well down on his list (okay - it was top on his DO NOT BUY list).

He'd had to install a couple of hundred of them in a new estate. Then a few months later, they called him back to remove and replace all of them.

There was a British one I liked the look of and that was also a no - new brand, might not last in Australia, expensive to repair in that case. His recommendation was Westinghouse.

    • That doesn’t make sense to replace them if they were not faulty.

More likely the contract specified brand X and they installed Euromaid on the cheap and then had to replace it.

We just bought a new Westinghouse oven to replace an old Westinghouse oven. So far so good. Went through Appliances Online and asked them for their best price via chat + install and removal / disposal of the old one. Very happy with the price and service. They have a few options under $1k.

    • Was the oven hardwired or 10amp flex plug?

      • We got a hardwired one

        • You must be lucky. They don't usually remove/install any hardwired appliances for free.

Unless they factored in the extra cost.

But you're right AO has great service. They'll take the old appliances and the boxes away.

          • @JimB: Yep, a contracted sparky turned up with the new oven and did the swap over. I didn't mean to suggest that bit was free, I just asked for the best all up price via the AO chat, including installation, and was happy with what they quoted me. :)

            • @Stalker: I thought you meant that because they will remove and install appliances for free such as washing machine.

Westinghouse is the way to go on a budget! They’re made in Adelaide, and the quality is excellent for the price!

    • Bought Westinghouse 7 function Oven WMAN_WVE6515 2, months ago so far wife is happy with it ~$700
Don't buy WVE6314 does not have bottom element

  • Which ever you decide upon the main driver should be availability of spares and tradies able to service them……

  • I have a slightly older Westinghouse oven, the pyrolytic function no longer works. Everything else works well. Have had Westinghouse out 3 times to repair pyro function and they cannot! Says something about Westinghouse support.

    • Surely that will be the basis for a refund after 3 failed attempts to repair.

  • Bought a whirpool air frier- microwave-convection combo for ~470 , was not reaching temperature they exchanged it but I was still not satisfied with the performance so I returned it for money back, no issues, moral of the story , don't buy a combo unit

    • we're talking about 60cm ovens.

  • Have a look at IKEA. Specifically, I had (before I moved) the KULINARISK oven currently available for $1399.. It has a pyrolytic function which heats up to over 500 degrees Celsius to turn anything inside to ash which you then just wipe off. Just make sure you follow the installation instructions with any pyrolytic oven to make sure it has the required ventilation.

For what it's worth, I also had an IKEA induction cooktop. I had the SMAKLIG ($799) one. Induction is the best.
