A tennis 2.0 level is a beginner who has some on-court experience but lacks consistency and control, although they are familiar with basic singles and doubles positions. This player needs on-court experience and stroke development, struggles to hit consistently, and is uncomfortable with volleys and serves. While they can get the ball in play, they have obvious stroke weaknesses and struggle with depth and power.

Looking at playing at a public/community court - or private centre ???

Prob best option == putting a notice up at centre where intend to play (they should have noticeboards).

Otherwise, you'll end up with ppl interested - but NOT the court/centre which you desire

Otherwise - do a little online search … EG. There are atleast 2 FB groups that would be worth joining/posting in.

[EDIT] … Unless your plan is to play tennis +++ talk bargains with them as you volley?

  • About 4.0. I genrally play around the Strathfield area.

    • Are you ok to play with 2.0/2.5? I usually play at Southend.

    I want too.

But it is too far away.

  • I assume you are referring to your UTR of 2.0. If so, can I suggest you get lessons with a coach instead? It will cost more but it will be much more beneficial for your tennis in the long run. The issue with 2.0 is you are effectively new to the game and 'rallying" with someone isn't going to help as much as you think. You need to work on strokework, movement, and developing good habits. These areas are what a quality coach can provide you with - especially with a basket of balls feeding out of their hand. You will also hit way more balls than with someone across the net at your level.
