This offer is for earning cashback on a range of gift cards purchased from Giftz. Giftz accepts AMEX.

My recommendation is not to use an AMEX (or any other credit card) via PayPal on Giftz, as my past PayPal transactions on Giftz have used a Merchant Category Code that would be very likely to be treated as a cash advance by credit card companies (6012 - Merchandise and Services: Customer Financial Institution).

120 days payout for 2.7% cashback from this mob: The Entire OzBargain Group/ Board Is So Toxic, Full of Negative Nancy's, Whingers, Bad Mouthers and Defamers,, run out of a Sydney virtual address. Beware!

      • +8

Off to a great start promoting your service 🍿

          • +3

@Cashbackau: Saying "pot calling the kettle black" kinda feels like trolling, no?

You really gotta have a thicker skin to survive in business 😬

          • +5

            @Cashbackau:

we have zero tolerance towards trolls.

The only troll here, is you, champ. You dont get to bait and inflame a community and then claim they are the "trolls".

      • +10

I’m not a business trying to pass off as legitimate and drum up free advertising by insulting the entire said forum like your last post.

You need a marketing team that knows what they’re doing. They can guide you to not attack the userbase you want to make money off, not go off on unhinged public rants and call them trolls for having a differing opinion or valid complaints of your service, and schedule posts for optimal peak timings rather than midnight on a Sunday… Seems like basics.

Thanks for your comment. Tonight was a first run on the deals area for us. Just to get the hang of it. That's why i am on it tonight (the CEO)
We have some big things coming.

          • +4

@Cashbackau: So tonight you're the CEO but here & here you were the customer service manager.

            Did you forget about that?

      • +3

says the person using the alias

Ah yes I'm sure you were born a little bouncing baby Cashbackau

    • +2

prob won't be around for the next 120 days anyway.

      • -1

        ???

  • +5

Sketchy looking website, AI promotional video, address is a $25 /month virtual office. What could go wrong.

  • +6

    Australia’s Official Cashback Site

    Uhh what a weird claim.

Also "as seen on dailymail, 9, and news.com". Couldn't find any evidence myself - as seen as an advertisement on those sites?

  • +10

    here for the comments

    • +8

      And I thought I was unhinged 🤣

    • +1

      The comments never disappoint :D

    • +1

Sorry, I'm awake, feeding, and burping an 18-day-old.

  • +6

Ceo is here and they're still acting like this. Are they doing this for fun 😂

    • -6

we are having a laugh actually. :)

      • +8

We are laughing at you, not with you.

      • +9

You're definitely going to be perma-penalty-boxed, so I guess enjoy the laughs while you can lol

  • +15

I won't be using this company or posting their offers for the following reasons:

    • +3

As others have pointed out - 120 days for cashback to be payable (paltry 2.7% cb, mind you) of which the supreme leader and CEO will hand deliver to your mailing address

        • That’s a zinger comment.

        • +5

I'm banking on it not being long before someone who signed up to their service, had a bad experience and let others know, comes back with a story about having their details cross referenced and receiving a "cease and desist/take-down request" legal letter turn up.

What's the old saying? It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you are a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt.

The problem with some people winning defamation cases is that a win emboldens them to keep using defamation lawsuits as a threat, even when what is being said is the truth. It's not about "righting a wrong", but more about silencing victims.

    • +5

Crazy move by posting this "deal" after complaining about OzB just a few days ago. Probably clickbait strategy to get more awareness of their shonky business?

  • +5

    This thread is amazing lmao

  • +10

Wow… I think this company deserves a neg based on nothing but their spray the other day that I was unfortunate enough to have missed out on commenting on at the time.

I think it is a weird position to take to get on the spraying off wagon as a preemptive strike. Go on the offensive and call site users names and make accusations and then making veiled and passive-aggressive threats to everyone and the site owners with defamation lawsuits. It's a bold move, Cotton… Let's see if it pays off…

Up to the point of the spray, there was only ever one "deal" posted by OP (the others were posted by users), which was actually just a competition and it garnered a total of "zero" comments. So, I dont even know how they came to any of their conclusions.

If your "boss" was spitting chips before, you wait till they get an eye load of the brand damage you have created. Bruce isnt going to have too much time to go around sueing people after the brand damage you have caused. They will most likely be in damage control and looking for a head to roll… But, I got this weird feeling that this account may be a little more closely linked to Bruce than what you are letting on (overly emotionally charged responses and threats of defamation lawsuits seems a little to close for a "customer service rep").

Personally, I would tread VERY carefully with giving my personal information to an entity that has a track record of making veiled "defamation lawsuit" threats. Especially against users if they ever have a bad experience and want to let others know.

    Also InB4: Banned/DisabledUser322340/post closed/etc.

Genuinely impressed that both the website and the 'CEO' are so dodgy it's eye-opening. Under FAQ:

It is up to the store/merchant to approve your purchase. It can take up to 90 days.

But on this deal it says paid within 120 days?

We get paid by the store, when you get paid. So it's in our best interests to investigate this for the both of us.

Then proceeds to ask customers to fill in a form to submit name, email and account password. Wow.

You are eligible to be paid, when your account has at least $11 in it.

Good luck if your cashback is less than $11.

Would recommend avoid this business completely even if the cashback % is decent

  • +5

Surprised OP has returned after his epic dummy spit.

So many red flags with OP's website as previously mentioned.

Admin/Mods should ban OP for spamming. Why should the OzB community put up with posts from OP after his unhinged tirade the other day?

  • +9

Here, have a neg due to the attitude

Can't wait to hear your whinges on product review/trustpilot about what a big bad site this is!

Please post again so you can get a performance ban and whinge that the world is against you

  • +4

Avoid - enjoy the neg from the attitude I've seen in the comments.

Looks crappy as well - don't trust the site (sketchy).

  • +5

Neg for unprofessional rep conduct in their responses above.

    Payout time is 120 days

This is an insane length of time when there are already places you can get instant discounts on gift cards e.g. Macquarie. Even Shopback takes less than a week to make cashback payable.

  • +8

I have evidence that both I and the referee met the referral bonus criteria under the previous deals, yet it was never paid out. Bit of a scam really.

  • +3

Will have to neg based on the attitude of the rep/ceo.
Had not involved myself before but this rep is being really rude and does not inspire confidence in the business.

  • +1

    2.7% is not a bargain.

How many bad deals is it before a store gets a permanent ban ?

  • +1

There is no cash back on this neg, you can keep the lot Brucey Boy!

  • +1

    A 4 month wait for 2.7% cashback ain't it.

  • +1

2.7% cashback for a long wait on the payout is too long. I’d rather earn interest on that money instead

  • +1

Bad deal. Ich bin ein OzBargainer. (making this comment just so that I can neg the post)

  • +1

Not a bargain, buyer beware, please observe customer rep/CEO interactions above

  • +3

This is one of the greatest periods of OzB in a while. CBAU had me agreeing with JV! Lol
