    Fantastic price.

  • +1

wow this is really good deal.

    • +14

I can't really see the value in paying ~30% more for on average very slight performance improvements.

Maybe worth it for people who care a lot about DLSS or AI.

      • +2

Honestly, $270 is worth it just for RTX HDR and RTX VSR alone (especially if you have an OLED)

DLSS is now at a point where there's next to no reason to never use it - FSR is getting closer but isn't there yet

      • As an 9070xt owner, why wouldn't you care about DLSS/FSR?

        • +2

Some people think DLSS is heaps better then FSR. I personally don't think it is a huge difference, especially now with FSR4.

    • +14

$270 is too much of a price gap to take the 5070Ti over the 9070XT if you're just gaming. $100 or under, then yes

      • wonder if these will start helping pull down the green card price a bit more. Though prob not coz Nvidia.

    • +8

270$ more is about 30% more expensive, it's controversial to say 5070 Ti will be more 30% valuable than the 9070 XT, specifically in gaming only.
Though tbh in my use case any GPU more than 1 grand is money waste, AMD or Nvidia or whatever in the future they will become.

    • +3

Lame bait mate, I rate it 0.8

    • +8

Nvidia's Blackwell drivers actually have more bugs than AMD's. Although with AMD it's concerning how quickly RDNA 2 got sidelined in terms of driver updates.

      • +1

Agree my 4070 ti has been way more unstable since upgrading to recent nvidia drivers, even after rolling back to a "known good" version

        • +1

My drivers with nvidia have been pretty unstable since my 1080 ti and now with my 4080 super i get pretty frequent crashes, i was genuinely considering buying this and selling my 4080 super lol

          • +1

@End3rDog: Yeah I had considered it also. Between the unstable drivers and fire hazard 12vhpwr connectors I've been thinking of giving AMD a go. Recent events turns me off that idea at least for now though.

      • Though they say support will continue, they have still branched it out for RDNA 1 and 2. So no idea if a perfomance tune would be in or not for a given game.

  • +3

It makes that atl 5070 ti deal earlier look very average now.
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/931260

Almost $300 lower for almost the same performance. Yeah yeah dlss yada yada. Perhaps if it was $100 difference yeah maybe.

  • +6

Great deal!! Ignoring AMD idiocy and potential lack of driver support longevity… Very good product and great price.

    • +5

Yes, the recent move swayed my decision making back to NVidia by a significant amount…

    • +6

This latest PR debarkle does leave a fairly big question mark on longevity. Steve from Gamers Nexus latest video about it absolutely shreds them for it.

      • +3

Unfortunately they've destroyed any ground they had gained. It's just unfathomable that no one in that business has any idea when it comes to optics and customer satisfaction….

I don't blame anyone for choosing nvidia based on this… And I've been an amd gpu customer since the ATI days.

  • Waiting for a 650 to 700 for the 9070 non xt.

Starting to think the extra performance for the extra power consumption isnt worth it. I will no doubt probably regret my decision

  • +1

    OOS

    • +3

They either only had 3 or were only willing to sell 3 at this price lol :(

  • +1

Very tempted but am a bit worried as i'm hoping to be playing more ray tracing games +in 4K so i have a feeling I'll be relying on DLSS heavily

    • If you're playing at 4K wait for the 50 super refresh IMO, you'll want the extra VRAM

      • I would but i cant sit with my 1070 for another like 6 months waiting for it to come in stock and priced at MSRP

        • +1

For New releases FSR4 is generally included and is fairly comparable to DLSS so it's only really path tracing the 5070ti really pulls further away with.

Unless you are happy with 60FPS the 9070XT or 5070ti aren't really 4k cards even with upscaling especially with all this unreal engine slop. New releases like outer worlds 2 or heck the mess of Borderlands 4 need settings adjusted + use of upscaling to even hold stable 60-90FPS at 1440p. Unless unreal engine gets better or ditched we are still more than a few generations away from 4k being a thing for those after more than 100FPS

          • +1

@DuckWearingTopHat: Yeah nah I'm a console gamer predominantly but planning on selling my xbox and old pc to fund a full AM5 build to be my primary system alongside switch 2. So I'm accustomed to 60fps and only will try and get 120fps for competitive games like marvel rivals, overwatch etc. I just like pretty graphics mainly lol

And yeah i have some games like Forza 5 which dont support FSR 4, so DLSS should be better in those cases. Though tbh it is really more about just not having to worry about FSR's limited game selection when looking for games.

      • +3

Realistically, 5080 Super won't land in most end-users by latter half of next year… Even then I would imagine the demand for 5080 Supers will mean that it will exceed RRP for a long while. 5070 Super might fair a bit better though.

As Johanu posted below. Setup alerts via email or RSS reader to get notified of any graphics card deals you're interested in. It's how I snagged a decent price on my GPU in 2022 when there was still chaotic demand from post COVID/AI Nvidia boom and deals were selling out in <30 mins of posting.

  • +3

How long will drivers be supported for this card? AMD may stop drivers support and only release security and bug fixes like RDNA1 and 2?

    • +2

They aren't stopping support for drivers for the RDNA 1 and RDNA 2, they have clarified they are just separating RDNA 1 + 2 from RDNA 3 + 4. This is supposed to speed up / improve updates. They called the RDNA 1 + 2 'Maintenance Mode', but that is not the same as NVIDIA's Maintenance Mode, they should have picked a different name. RDNA 3 + 4 will get Feature Updates, Driver Updates, Security Fixes, and Bug Fixes, RDNA 1 + 2 will get Driver Updates, Security Fixes, and Bug Fixes, but not new Feature Updates.

There was stock again a second ago lol.

They will probably dog you day 1 support in a few more months
